Plumbing still sucks hard. Today’s trial - I had a slight drip in the kitchen faucet so I ordered some (expensive) replacement cartridges and went to put them in today. After I’d dropped them in I turned the water back on but nothing came out when I cranked the handles. I was puzzled, and it was completely confounding when I put the old cartridges back in and still no flow out the faucet.
I ended up taking apart the entire undersink stuff - garbage disposal, faucet feeds, drains, etc. to try and figure out what the hell was wrong. Total drippy mess, and horrid crampy work under the sink. Long story short, I finally took the aerator/strainer thing at the end of the faucet off and found it was clogged with corrosion crap that had come loose when I pulled the old cartridges. Everything worked fine when I cleaned that screen out.
So, of course when I put things back together there were all kinds of leaks, the worst was the disposal, so I had to go buy a new one and replace it. Now there’s just one small drip off the hot water shutoff, but it’s going to have to wait until tomorrow. FML
Oh, and why are there so many goddam people that think 4 more years of trump would be a good idea?

Be advised - I'm laughing *with* you, not *at* you. And I can relate. Fucking plumbing.
No house plants. Had to get rid of them due to kittens. Pretty sure they came in on fruit as they are only in the kitchen which has now been thoroughly cleaned with not a speck fo fruit or veggie or anything else attractive to them in sight. Cloroxed the drain and check under the sink for moisture too.
LOL!
Oy!
I tried to replace a kitchen faucet cartridge a year ago or so. To get to it I had to remove the handle, which was connected with a tiny hex screw in the back. Of course it was stuck and absolutely would not come out no matter what I tried and it's so small the allen key was way too flimsy to put any torque on it. Ended up just buying a whole new faucet. Nice planned obsolescence. The new one is much nicer than the old piece of shit, anyway.
man, i was selling some hardshells on r/geartrade on reddit and this mod called me out for not having proper verification. fair enough, but i've sold maybe 2 dozen items on this subreddit and am one of the more active users. well, i end up saying some snarky shit; nothing assholic but snarky. he deletes my post. i think, fair enough, i'll provide proper verification in my next post. i repost the hardhshells with verification but include a reference to my previously snarky comment in the description. everything is going well until i start communicating with a potential buyer in the comments. it is then that the mod decides to delete my post for the snarky reference. i chat him and basically ask him "what the fuck, why'd you delete my post?" This motherfucker says, "I suggest you watch the language and tone. You can save your sarcastic posts for other subreddits. Read the damn rules before posting and don't get upset and sarcastic when I'm just ensuring a better, more legit experience for all." At that point I get back to my TGR roots and tell him to go fuck himself and remind him that he is a fucking subreddit moderator, not my schoolteacher. He promptly banned me. Fuck that guy. Fuck reddit, honestly.
There we go, attaboy!

Got wisdom teeth pulled yesterday (I’m just shy of 40). Hurts a bit. Got 400mg ibuprofen for the pain. As I lie here awake at 3am I’m wishing I’d asked for something a lot stronger.
This sucks.
I got a hit of acid from a friend when I got my wisdom teeth out at 17
hilarity ensued
there was a Russian babushka and a Burmese python involved
I feel your pain, I'm dealing with cluster flies. Slowly buzzing around and then randomly dropping out of the sky and dying on every surface of the house. I spend 30 minutes a day walking around with a vacuum sucking them up. And I'm convinced they have a smell. My first fall in this house so I have no idea if it's yearly and what to do to control them.
