That thing sorta sucks - nothing like breaking the rhythm of laps then having to take off the skis and walk through a maze... I'll say this - right now as the crowd seemingly thins - especially over the wknd as temps drop and its locked up solid out there you can get some good vertical in. I'll take it.. This is as close to joining a gym as I'll ever come.

next time out was vv/gg. real bindings, before long we were pointing and tucking and i was hooked. and yes, the whole night ski/ debauchery vibe was better than just anything else an early teen could ask for (that and unsupervised outings for tull and yes and styx and genesis at the garden, rush at the palladium.)
^^^ yea jong, the only injury on those trips was a kid who mounted his own bindings and they ripped out. we sat in the bus for an hour or so outside the hospital while he was getting his cast put on.
well, at least he didn't pay for that botched mount. i've PAID for at least one mount that ripped out on the first run. been mounting my own ever since with no such failures.
Our ski club night debauchery was at the now-defunct Alpine Ridge. I don't recall any chaperones. The bus driver had to have been a saint.
