How is the skiing in Summit County Ohio anyways? I believe Vail Resorts' Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Areas are in Summit County Ohio. I see on my Epic Pass the first day I can reserve is Dec 26th. Dc 19-25 are to be released.

North San Juans are skiing well right now.
I pretty much lived there in my teens and early twenties. I think they have had a hard time getting much open in December the last few years though. From what I've heard the lake effect isn't near what it used to be and major temperature swings have messed up the season there a lot.
Reserving Dec. days to ski there since other resorts are booked seems crazy to me unless you're already in the region.
Full trip report if you do it Dee Hubs :)

That said, the San Juans are skiing awesome
nice
I laughed when the better half showed me her home hill of Boston Mills and the famous Tiger run...
Yep. It's really funny when we visit Ohio. Her dad gets it, but mom? It's non-stop, "you know what was invented in Ohio", "you know who is from Ohio", "you know what business started in Ohio". As if we're going to move there if she says that stuff often enough. :)

Back to Sam’s today. Skiing with my daughter and her friend (and her dad). Who knew teenagers could be so cool?
Things are starting to get sun-affected. No signs of instability. I probably won’t ski again until we get a refill, but there’s plenty of good skiing out there, especially in the alpine.
I’ve had a good early season down here in SW CO.
We didn’t dig any pits today, but there was about 15cm of the newer snow (from Tuesday) sitting on a pretty significant sun crust (East face, around 11000’). No whumping or fracturing or any signs of instability.
Nice morning out there, maybe this next storm is more than a refresher?
I did a recon trip to one of the 2020 burn areas, still tons of thick sections, but there are some intriguing lines that may be worth a second visit when better covered (and officially open) Attachment 350340
“Next storm”?
I don’t see anything in the grids yet.
