If those people who don't have the cock on ignore would do all of us a favor and NOT quote his posts that'd be sweet

Still all snow but near freezing. 2nd time this week I wish I had my 122's mounted
Fkna. >:-(
125mph wind gust reported at the tower on Mansfield! Hope no one was poking around near the summit today.
Looks like the rush of warm air is heading north. I was hoping that Jay would stay all snow, but that appears to be unlikely now. :(
Fat and rockered definitely helped in the new 4+" of wet/heavy snow this morning. High winds kept the lifts limited to the lower mountain and by the time we 'warmed up' it was raining, so we bailed on skinning to the summit.
just POURED rain in stowe for 10-20 minutes, now it's just showring and spitting. but wow...holy CRAP. utter downpour like a midsummer thunderstorm. musta been that fast wind that just rolled in from the south had some moisture in it. woof! battening down the hatches in case it gets any worse
Just checked the Mount Washington weather station: 92.1MPH sustained winds with a 101MPH gust in the past 24h.

Must have been the same cloud that rolled thru here in the valley a little over an hour ago, had to have dropped close to a 1/2 in 30-40 minutes.
its interesting that today the winds on Mansfield are forecast (and actually appear) to be exceeding MTW's winds. that doesnt happen every day.
wouldn't be surprised at all. there's some MEAN looking weather rolling overhead... and the obs on the nose certainly are recording as much.
i hope the downsloping winds in jericho and cambridge stay in check. that stuff can get dangerous.
