This looks completely fucked. And certainly will get worse until snow flies Sunday.

30,000 -> 125,000 acres in 24 hours. It's well established in the park, all the way up to Haynach Lake area.
Grand Lake is my favorite mountain town in CO. I'm far from a local, but I've spent countless days up there. Drinkin' at the Roadhouse, hiking the park, hunting, ice fishing, doing redneck things on Stillwater, etc. It's such a gorgeous area and has a special place in my heart. The police scanner last night was awful, homes ablaze everywhere. I hope when the smoke clears the damage isn't too apocalyptic.
This one really stings, especially when my best friend is sweating bullets wondering if his house on 4 is OK. Its quite depressing knowing the area will not look the same for a decades, and that many people’s homes were reduced to rubble

JFC isn’t that running right down the valley of Emerald Lake/Dream Lake/Bear Lake by Hallet Peak?! Or north by Little Matterhorn/Notchtop? Fuckfuckfuckfuck.
