How so? Even when there are tons of cars at a TH, it’s not like people are skiing/biking/hiking on top of each other. It’s just another thing being overhyped by social media.

And enough of the “us vs them” crap by people who live in the mountains vs people on the Front Range. (Not directed to you, NR) We’re all here in CO for the same reason, it doesn’t really matter where you live. Yeah, I'm of the same opinion that it is pretty unlikely that someone is going to contract the virus from an overcrowded trailhead, but as stated, I would avoid that situation all together. Unless some dude with Covid goes around coughing on every doorhandles in the parking lot or something.

I don't get the us vs them thing in this case either, but I do think that everyone should just stay within a few miles from their house for a little while and get creative recreating there. Not because of where you are from, but just take it easy. Go for a bike ride around the neighborhood. The wife and I did that the other day and it was really nice. Saw some streets that I'd never even been down in 20+ years living here. We'll probably go ski some mellow stuff in the neighborhood one day.

Many of the cases of COvid in the mountains seem to be getting sent down to Denver anyway, either for more advanced medical care, more ventilators, just lower altitude. This isn't really something that's going to stay in one community, so we are all involved.

Seems like everyone is stuck inside for 23 hrs a day self medicating with drugs and alcohol and internet Attachment 322031and slowing loosing their shit except for that one hour a day outside next time your at the hospital pick up this booklet call your lawyer and get your shit in order

Someone in Silverton might remember the 1918 influenza where they failed to do this and died en masse.

But in 2020 shutting down the BC is silly. We don't shut the BC down in EXTREME avalanche danger.

Distance and mellow, that is the name of the game.

The city has family, friends and concerts. And an airport. Our "Parasites" are maybe another Edgewater.
I want to move deeper into the mountains away from the crowds, so if I can stay put and accomplish the same, count it.

Yikes, got out of caribou just in time on Sat I guess. It was trending toward a pile up though, not surprised. Went up there with the kids since safe/mellow but jeez the drive in/out and parking was an s-show. Some dodge powerwagon almost took out a whole line of parked cars and people after he got stuck going up and then spazzed out on the down. Maybe drinking + xbox is the better play...
