It poured overnight at my house and then froze before dawn, which I think kept the crowds away today. Expectations were low and were exceeded several times over

my buddy, bobby peru, will be riding bromley this weekend. he's a hairy, barbarian-looking fellow. wearing 3 color desert camo with custom helmet pattern. if he's not on the chairs, he will be at the bar or on the deck, drinking whiskey and smoking camel straights .... he's not a mag but is self-aware. if you encounter him, proceed slowly, tell him rosco said hello. he wont bite and isnt strapped

I’d agree.

Fine stoke (again) as usual Boreas, Ayo and Aldo, good to see you sliding finally. Several reports today had me cursing my desk view but 3 days on the sunny side to start the week made reality tolerable. Mrs FD making her first turns of the season.

Start to a great Friday. And those new langes are badass. And a 3 degree on that Solis makes it eat hard snow.
Skiing is fun.
Fantastic photos. Almost makes me want to get out of bed early.
Beautiful sunny and calm day bob. Chilly at 12º currently.
Dawn patrol goodness that I am too lazy to get to yet.
Thought about Peruvians comment about freeheeling and figured I should get back out there for some balance testing.

Some paramarking in Edens bumps, which are as random as rodent tunnels in r30 fiberglass, provided a good test

Some rain and crazy wind Wednesday night, blew my shovel 40' down the driveway, finished with some snow on the backend and no sign of rain a bit higher up.
Wind did drop a bunch of sticks everywhere and knocked some snow cones into narrow lines.

Plenty of Jerries out there on the hill, but just typical kooks not worthy of a photo.
Speaking of Jerry, lurker Jerry is picking me up in 5 to tour some secret lines of untracked goodness today.
Get after it!
Real last minute here -I have an extra ticket for plattekill today. Pm me I’ll be there if anybody wants it.

I would get releasable straps but I don't want to lose either of the whippets i ski with.
If you follow any of the touring or “extreme” skier groups you should be skiing with 3 whippets, extra poles, a backup binding, extra set of skis, and an extra boot plus spare buckles. This is the only safe kit that will keep you skiing if you venture into the woods or alpine.
A Peasant?? That's pretty tame and you should've taken him up on that offer.
