I hit some traffic that ended up being stop-light related - the La Caille light is timed to get northbound commuters on Wasatch Blvd to work in the morning, southbound traffic can get a little clogged there. After that it was smooth sailing into the Goldminer's parking lot for about 50min from driveway to liftline.
I skied 5 of the better laps I've had in the past 19 years, 19" of snow had been falling vertically for the past 24 hours. After the Bus Run on the 5th lap I was conflicted, because I felt like I should start working instead of extended-play hooky following a long weekend.... but that last run was so fucking good. I checked my email at the car - nothing pressing - and went to get another Bus Run, but at the top of Wildcat I discovered the holiest of hole Keyhole gates had just opened, so I had to partake. It was a top 5 all-time run. Skied right up to a bus, hopped on and got dropped off 80ft from my car, changed and drove down the canyon, doing actual work by noon.
