Didn't mean to stir up the hornets nest . I naively looked at the picture and it looked empty did not consider who was posting it. Anyhow I don't have any ego about surfing. I love it though.

No. That one is about a 4 1/2 minute car ride.

I live a mile from the water, up a hill a bit. Lucked into a killer view of the bay. Can see all the weather coming and going and surface conditions. Can't see any waves.

So basically nothing right out the front door, but plenty of options for my son to bike to once he gets old enough.

Been a good week up here with the super clean mornings (and some evenings) and mini long period swell. There is something about a 3'+@17 that is super fun to ride. Maybe it is the perfect playful shoulder high barrel

I wish we had a break like Cowells here. Have a cup of coffee while riding a wave. Chill

Thanks. Another fun night of combo chest to head high glassy hollow long period goodness. Only grabbed eight waves in my 45 minute session, but the first two were the best. First one was a thick overhead bomb that just bowled up and begged for deep pittedness; I barely was able slow done and scrape a cover up out of it. Number two was just endless shoulder high carve faces and lips to crush. I looked for number three, but while most were really fun, none lived up to hope set by those first two. It was pretty crowded. Like maybe six of us. Someone in the line up was complaining about it. It would have been nicer if he were not there, come to think of it.

Chopes webcast is on. Big, even huge tubes, insane eat shit moments, perfect, perfect glass. Amazing surfing to watch.

Does anyone know of an App, or even a website, that allows you to enter a location and a time frame and get tide data. Such as "Santa Cruz, August 20th, 6-8pm". It could just be start and end tide heights, but a sun curve graph would e even better.

I know how o read tide charts as calculate all that shit, but it would sure be nice to that at your finger tips. I have a surf window tonight that was killed by wind/tide. Just won't be worth the time. I'm often making secessions on when to create surf windows based on tide, as well as swell.
