Rare car. Only 24 were built. Only one I have seen, was at the AM factory in Gaydon.

I had a '68 Cougar in high school in the early 80's; loved that car. I learned to wrench on cars with that thing, especially electrical shit, mainly trying to keep those funky "moving" blinkers working.
Fast as hell, roomy enough for date night, and reliable. But Unibody construction was a bad idea in salty MN, and eventually rusted it apart.
My first car was a VERY used 1970 Impala convertible. Already quite rusty when I bought it, especially the rear fenders, it too had the dreaded unibody construction. Due to the salty roads, the frame part of the unibody developed a fatal series of rusty cracks and the vehicle would creak and groan over bumps like an old hound. I ended up selling it then after four years of use...for the same price I'd bought it for (which wasn't much...maybe $500 back in the eighties). Loved that car as well.
The power top didn't work, so the top stayed down more than it was up, which was just fine by me and my friends. Even during northeast winters...used to carry a big old blanket to put over people's legs when it got cold and the top was down! One time we drove downtown with a three piece band playing in the car, including me, the driver, playing a kazoo. That was the same car I'd always keep a pack of cigs in the glove compartment, even though I wasn't a smoker...because you just HAVE to light up during a blue sky summer drive with the top down - some sort of law, I think.
There is something fantastic about being 21 and owning a convertible...even an old rusty one. If I could go back to those days, even for a bit, I'd do it faster than you could flick a Bic.
A friend just placed a deposit on this (GT2 RS). Delivery in spring. Can't wait to drive.

Also, he wants to order a Dodge Demon. Anyone here a Dodge dealer, or in a position to take an order?
Kind of want the shirt.

Also, PM sent on Demon. Maybe, we can deal.
Tell him to find a Dodge dealer selling for retail. Dodge is penalizing buyers, by way of penalizing dealers, who sell for more.

^^^ We have called dealers from NJ to CA. None avail. I don't think that this guy wants to pay more than sticker, but I'm not sure. Also, I am not exactly sure of whether BD is a dealer, re-seller, or other. However, I have a feeling that my guy and BD might be able to do business and a connection may be in their best interests.

A buck and a quarter is a lot of money for a very one dimensional car .

Wait a year for the Demon, pay less.
I'll take that black 550 and some empty Nevada roads, please.
