It's actually just off the skintrack halfway up the ramp, headin' to the north. I just happened upon the scene and tried to snap a picture, but it was pretty foggy out. He went huge though, he took off from way back in the trees then barely cleared the landing.

Great stable skiing in the Bridgers right now, I really like this heavier snow.

So....today was awesome. Not only was the snow great, but this is six weeks and five days after my knee surgery and I was out skiing The Nasties and Hidden. Coming down the far north side of NW was $$$ this afternoon.

Everything was $$$$$ today!

First hike my son meets some of his friends, so I tag along behind them down the O's. They rip down and stop above a sizeable drop(at least for me who likes to keep my skis on the ground). First one off-switch 180, next-front flip, next 360, next 360, next straight huck, next straight huck. Then I'm alone (thinking to myself oh shit) so I go-next thing I know I've lost one ski and plowing snow with my face. I knew better too, at least it was soft. Hope you kids at least got a good laugh.:)

It's been pretty good lately at BB. Not much sunshine, but we took a pic or two here and there. I just got some Dukes yesterday and did some extensive testing today. So far I haven't been able to make them fall off:)

nice work, i've only had mine fall off once. couldnt ride today but can in the morn tomorrow lets ride. got drcs yesterday.

Made it up there at the crack of noon, hiked three times before calling it a day. Hit up Bridger Gully, Colter's, and Sluice (which was virtually untouched, couldn't pass it up). Didn't have to make it out to NW passage, should still be sick though. D-route not open yet. Faceshots were had, shit-eating grins all around. Sorry no pics!

Sounds good Skid. I don't have to be anywhere till late afternoon, so I was thinking about doing some skinning. There are a few things I'd like to investigate to the south that aren't likely to be tracked yet. I'm trying to talk MT into it, but as of now I have no partner.

If D Route isn't open I may be skinning tomorrow AM. I ain't really fast, but I'm safe. PM me if you need a partner.

man, yesterday and today have been fucking nuts. soooo much snow i skipped three classes today with a midterm tomorrow. saw mt ski sixth grade. buddies and i went down coneheads and i pussed out of hitting upper superman.:nonono2::nonono2::nonono2:

The last two days have been fucking rad here. About as good as things get for us Bridger folk. There's so much more to ski this year than there has been the last several years. I think we're gonna stay pretty busy trying to make sure all the cool lines that are materializing have tracks in them.

Good work on Sixth Grade, been eying that one wondering if its gotten filled in. Hiked D first thing this morning, then lapped the fingers which had been neglected, then got out to Hidden and NW to finish of the day. So stoked, best two days of my life. Yeah... heres a couple vid grabs to sums it all up:

Have you tried pointing that thing from the top? If you have, props to ya, cause I don't think that it's survivable with less than a 150" base.

Maybe it wouldn't have been scraped clean if you shuffled your ass out there and pointed it first.

lookers right, that funnel there, is what rips out on nel bosoff in the "montana winter" flick, he goes for a ride in the powder cloud to the tune of what looked like a thousand verts- came away with a non-paralytic(sp) broken back and a life flight (maybe that weighed in his decision to go run a kayak lodge in costa rica- bet someone from here knows him from there...)
just got that flick put on a DVD(thanks again indy), have to figure out hoe to snip the clip and post it here- its chilling...

-no the reason we didnt get it first was due to patrol issues, and getting our pass pulled had we ditched our partner.....and we did shuffle our asses to break trail up there for ya.. regardless we skied it, fun line. good hustle MT and crew:yourock:.
