Thanks for the thoughts @TwoAdog! Glad they are working well for you so far

Hopefully someone can A/B the 187 R110 and 192 Mfree 108. Those two look most similar and the R110 could be a contender to replace my beloved Mfree108’s.

Unless I missed something, that was the FR, not the R.

Eagerly awaiting K1mJ0ngTr1ll's input on mount point for that R110. I mean, I have several months to ponder it... but I'm curious.
Also, cool Lambo. The R110 pushed it out of my personal needs with some narrower/cambered skis in my quiver, but I'll be damned if it also isn't super interesting.
Is it not-- "All eyes on Kim" at this moment?
Have fun, homie. Enjoy your espresso and rip it up for us.
P.S. You have a dope-ass office.
Quiver is extremely bloated. In reality I probably need a ski in the 95-102 areas but a 108-110 at Alta can usually be a pretty solid DD. Have a few skis on the local classifieds on “make me sell” prices but right now I kind of just feel like I’m on an episode of hoarders.
Thank you sir!
I have had the CT since last season and have been a Moment whore for some time. Really since I started skiing in 2017ish. It’s a really dialed ski and I will have a hard time selling it. I found that this type of ski (playful chargers) is what I ski best on and have the most fun.
I ended up at -8 on the R110 and -7.5 on the FR120. Will for sure update how they feel. I really enjoyed Marshal’s personal pair at -8.5 but have love my CT110 at -8 so Marshal recommended I throw it on there. The ski really feels like it has a large sweet spot so I think a lot of mounts will work for people based on style. The full raceplate and binding made for a led weight like feel while swinging on the lift (much less on snow). I’m curious if the P15 will feel much different.
Stoked to share my thoughts. Also if anyone comes up to Alta hit me up!
The more I ski the FR110 the more I love it. It absolutely destroyed the rain corn and mank at Alpental last night! Such a super smooth ride, good top end speed limit, but had little problem dialing it back too.

I haven’t skied the FR 110 but from the reviews the FR 120 is pretty much the same feeling. So easy to ski but has a pretty damn good amount of back bone. Kinda makes me want an FR 110 for spring/shallow hot pow.
Swapped to my R110. For me it’s a very confidence inspiring ski. No speed limit that I myself am capable of reaching. But can really shut it down when I feel I’m losing control. It’s really a perfect storm of a softish snow ski for me. I do think a lot of people will gel with it. I think my only complaint is my legs burn out quicker than other skis but this just motivates me to not be a baby and get in the gym. Lots of fun to be had.
Supposed to warm up (rain?) at Whistler this weekend. Thinking tomorrow may be a good FR110 day #1?

Can anyone comment on how these compare to a 4frnt Renegade/Hoji?

Just had 4 days on the FR110s. Think people know the soft snow performance so I won’t bother repeating the stoke. What really, really surprised me was the hard snow performance. They can seriously lay down trenches on groomers and are equally adept at carving micro turns or large GSs. The layup is serious - they are absolutely bomber and truck over everything, so gdamn damp even with my light 150lbs frame. And the attention it gets from everyone… they need a ski condom!
I can tell you after tomorrow….

I didn’t feel like swapping for an a/b.
Haha. Nice. I’m on my 4th pair of Rens and 2nd pair of Hojis.
Here’s the 180 FR110 (182cm) beside my Pilsner Hojis (184cm).

I haven't been on my Hojis since early last season. They have tech bindings so not a direct comparison, but what immediately comes to mind: The FR110 is both livelier and more stable.
The more I ski the 110s the more I start to unlock what they can do. You can make incredibly fast turns/transitions from turn to turn. Pop from edge into the air, touch down for a millisecond and immediately pop again. Just insanely responsive.

Great take man, I was just talking offline about them, and described them as “skatepark” skis. Gap. Transfer. Ollie. Slash.
Sounds like a similar vibe to your experience, @whiteroom?
If anyone in the PNW is on the fence, get yourself a pair of these.
It’s taken me a bit to adapt my style to them but they turn a rain day into some of the funnest skiing you can do.
Shh. Let them be impatient with the skis. Let them fall to me.
I always thought the OG Devastator was a great ski design but in 194 cm it was plain to long to be enjoyable (and the 184 cm was too short). MO seems to get it right on the FR110. Maybe I should try one.
Are they shipped to EU?
Yes, "skatepark" ski is a good way to put it. I have had these out in almost every snow at this point. It's WARM as heck here right now and will probably be just about spring skiing today (in MT in freaking January at 8000+ feet) and I'm actually sort of excited to see how they ski. I am guessing they will really shine yet again.
So I got out on the FR110's this past weekend at Whistler. Day 1 for me on the FR110. Conditions were soft (rain slush) just before the atmospheric river hits.
Me 5’7 (170cm), 170 lbs, Nordica Strider 120 boots. My skis are all 179-185 cm lengths. I like centerish mounts (-3cm to -7cm) and my favourite skis are maneuverable but not noodles. I love rockered skis and always have a few of them in the quiver.
The full rocker FR110 just made sense to me so I bought them even though I currently own rockered Ravens, Hojis and Renegades. I have previously owned other rockered skis (Sickles, InThaynes, Devastators and Faction Candide 5.0’s) and loved all of those.
FR110 highlights from a day of ripping slush….
You’ll get comments in almost every lift line …eg. “wow those are bright skis!”
This is not gonna be a shocker….. but these are slightly heavier, slightly shorter Hojis.
My 184 Hoji’s are mounted at rec of -6.5cm, and weigh ~2,060 gm per ski. Straight pull on the 184 Hoji is 182.5cm.
The 180 FR110 is mounted at -5.8cm (a smidge in front of rec), with a straight pull of 179.6cm for the 180 FR110 and Marshal states the FR110 is 2,250 gm per ski. I didn’t weigh mine but that feels about right.
Side note…..Marshal I think you need to call this a 181 or 182? Confusing (to me) it’s called the 180 FR110? Same thing with your HB skis (the 179HB is a 185cm?). My accounting brain doesn’t like that.
I ski my Ravens and Hojis a ton inbounds in shit snow (cause the rocker is so good). Not disappointed with the FR110 either…..wow the FR110 are very predictable on groomed, heavy snow. Better than the Hojis prolly due to their higher weight. I found that the FR110 can carve big GS turns, and like the Hoji, you ski it mostly from the center of the ski. The edge hold is very decent, and almost grippy when you put it over on its full edge. Again like the Hoji/Raven the FR110 feels like you’re carving with the underfoot part of your ski (and just in front of and behind the bindings). This underfoot section of the FR110 feels pretty strong giving the FR110 really good edge hold (on soft groomers).
I think the 180 FR110 skis short. So I’m glad I went 84cm from tail (-5.8cm) and not further forward. But it’s not too short. It’s length for me is a great a combination of stability and playfulness. But I think because of the shorter length, the FR110 is even more maneuverable than my Hojis. I loved slarving/drifting/throwing the FR110 sideways at stupid speeds. Not hooky. Just really really good fun and predictable.
Can’t wait to get them in super steep terrain. It’s gonna be my do-everything ski cause it is so stable and versatile, and the slightly shorter length will be good in the scary, sketch stuff….I know I’m gonna use this a ton for how/where I ski. Prolly will grab these most days if we’re doing chutes and steep, tight entrances and grab the Hojis if we’re skiing more open glades.
Will report back when I’ve skied them more.
Really well done Marshal! I think the only way you could improve these FR110’s is to go with a Pilsner topsheet.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer in this thread of overflowing stoke, but I wasn't super psyched on the R110 (FWIW, Marshal and I have already discussed all of this via text already). The tails wanted to stay locked in a lot more than I'd like for a full rocker ski. I had ski them really forward to overcome this and make them pivot easily, and getting even a little backseat was punished hard. That made fast bumpy runouts really sporty and not in a good way. For me at least, since a rockered ski inherently gives up some stability I want to be able to throw them sideways at will, especially if I find my self a little out of position. They did have moments of brilliance, particularly linking doubles across traverses and steep lippy jumps.
I'd like to give them another shot with a +1 to +2 mount which may allow a more neutral stance. Besides experimenting with mount point it's also possible this was at least partially a tune issue, not enough detune and/or slightly edge-high. The Apruary conditions (40*-25* F temps base to peak, full spectrum of pow, hot pow, packed pow/crud, corn, and hardpack) may have been a bit past optimal, but I wouldn't have hesitated to ski Sickles in the same conditions. It's also possible that some of my gripes may not apply to people who make more turns than I do. Definitely want to try to FR110 to compare, though it's also possible that I should really just be on the FL113.
I took the Squads out the following day in identical conditions. Despite being wider and longer and having underfoot camber I found the Squads to be noticeably less demanding to ski. They were easier to slide the tails out when desired but also more composed and less work to hold a line through high-speed chunder. As always, YMMV.
DTM, you are welcome to try my 180 FR110 any time, I think you might dig them (I'm in Millcreek, mounted with STH at 310BSL). They pivot effortlessly. I haven't tried the Sickle but I've skied several Volkl full rocker skis and these are on another level in terms of drift/slarve/sideways skiing.
I actually think DTM needs to try 193 FR110s, as he is airing and straightling the rowdiest features in the cirque lap after lap, but the looser tail and more neutral mount of the FR could be a better match for his stance.
The R110 is definately setup to be more engaged and for a set back vs the FRs (and sender squads, sickles, etc)
Devastator sizing was annoying and I thought the 194s were underwhelming in deeper snow for a 111 under foot reverse camber ski.
Just sharing some more feedback on FR110s!Quote:
Your tip on opening up the stance a bit really helped. I just had one of the funnest days on skis on the FR110. It was pissing rain all day (3” of liquid in about 5 hours) and had an absolute blast. I felt like I was the only person able to ski the super sticky and grabby trees. Then once the snow softened up I was able to lay the ski over. I was dragging knuckles on a rockered ski. This thing is wild!!
