They were recently sold. A new Beer pub is in the works where Storm Cycles used to be in Redstone. Not sure of whether things are moving slowly like everything else in 2020.

They were “brewing” out of shades last I heard but I think they may be done, haven’t heard or seen anything in awhile. Another rumor was they were going to put something in in Kimball

A buddy of mine recently invested $100K in the company, so I hope they are not done. I think that PC Brewing is different from that scam artist who was recently arrested for a brewery related scheme in PC.
yeah, it's VERY low tide down there, esp the bottom of Main St, which is a rock garden. Confirmed they have been blowing snow all day. If they can keep it going, it's conceivable we could have an opening soon. yay, Slowitude! We need Mo'Na to throw down a couple/6 feet and all this piddly bitchin will dissolve.
Been shredding cord at Brighton each morning and for the first hour it's OK. 10 am comes and hordes start crushing. Had an extremely close call w an out of control teen on a board this morning, got to the line at Crest where the maskless hordes had lined up and we bailed at 1025. It's been good to session the cord tho.
Years ago, we used to do an annual trip to Soli at Thanksgiving...stayed at the Inn...ate at Silver Fork (kids loved the meatloaf...lol). Those trips were always a good start to the season, and luckily had good coverage the years we went...
glad we didn’t plan a reunion tour this winter....lol.
Alta is blowing hard, pretty good coverage and its definitely low tide but skills in aversion are all time...
Beast Coast conditions for the most part, with soft nooks, feels like being home again in VT lol
This was pointed out to me today and I figured I should drop it in here: https://www.leecanyonlv.com/plan-you...eserve-parking
The Lee Canyon parking reservation page is up and it's basically a copy+paste of the Bachelor and Snowbird pages, except for the nice little tidbit at the end
"Season pass holder parking will be given priority & daily ticket parking admission may be adjusted to favor availability for passholders."
Fuckin' a, Powdr.
^^^
Lee canyon is tiny operation. I believe they have 1, just 1, year round employee. He’s the GM and only pro ski patroller for the whole resort which is incredibly small and attracts very few visitors. I imagine their entire season skier visits is fairly close to just Christmas week at bachelor or the bird. Not to defend powder corp but it’s not even a remotely fair comparison.

For those of you looking for Tomorrow’s dust on crust.
Attachment 349833
^ Skied pretty good for DUST lol, fun up there, definitely brought the B game haha, 4th day on will do that but regardless HAPPY TURKEY BIRD DAY (or Tofurkey for my fellow Veggie folks!)
Attachment 349982
The 5" or more of dust skied pretty well, imo.
The dust was a shockingly good improvement. Wildcat lot was full before opening. Pow days are going to be beyond crazy as the season rolls on and the hungry show up early and earlier.

Just got back from a Catherine's Lap. Only skiing I did today. It was pretty good. Definitely sharky on the exit.
^^^^
Just double checking that you remember what you did to your hand a few years ago and what happened to Carl 2 days ago?

So has anyone been turned away at the base of LCC yet? Heading up to Alta tomorrow and wondering what time I need to be at the mouth of the canyon....

Anyone know what will be open Mon. at The Bird? Regulator, or just Big Emma?
They’re claiming Tram, Zoom, Little Cloud, Mid Gad, and Chickadee.
Seems like parking has been declared "full" on twitter around 11ish the last few days, but plenty of spots start opening up around then from the 4-laps-and-go-home crew (of which I am a frequent member). There were a bunch of empties around our tailgate when we fired up the grill around noon.
^ Totally right... Seems like the New England conditions are keeping the hoards at bay.
Went up on Black Friday at 12, skied laps, literally no lines until closing bell, fun was had. Noticed what Dshack is saying as i drove up to the trailhead today, started towards Catherines around 10, looked like WC lot had quite a few spots.
Catherines was skiing well for the most part, definitely low tide and probably rolled the dice a little to much with line selection, but again fun was had and literally only saw like 3 people all day...
As always cant take yourself to seriously...

It was fun seeing people's reactions as I passed them on the skinner. So if you find circular skin tracks or ones that dead end into trees.... it wasnt me WAKA WAKA
Detruser: Just tell 'em you're the pro from Dover.
Works like a charm.
There is no organization of "full parking" and road closures yet...
Dshack: do you have two 'lil ones now?
Thought I saw you all with your gal riding clean up / defense.
Thanks all. Generally When asked what I do people say “really????” I guess I don’t exude that vibe.
We were just hoping not to be in the canyon at 7:30...sounds like we can be a bit leisurely.
Telefreewasatch, you gonna e sliding around tomorrow? I’ll be w the whole family in a yellow fart bag trying to keep up!

We still just have 1 little one...for now! Im a total rookie at teaching her to ski. I know there are some good tips that have been posted on here, time for me to search around.
So far our top priority has been keeping a strong ratio of hot chocolate to skiing. Seems like that makes everything else easier!
^ Dammit so close!
Utah County is a damn weird place.
"Whether Provo Canyon’s Bridal Veil Falls is preserved as a natural space or developed into a drug treatment center with tram access may come down to a last-minute effort by a departing Utah County commissioner."

Thanks for the beta photo, im sharpening my tools and crampons now...
Snowbird opener was quite enjoyable today. Not sure if the fact it was on a Monday or the new parking situation but it was the quietest opener I’ve seen. They did a really good job on the mask insistence and spacing out the lines. They still parked cars pretty close but it’s easy to stay away from whomever is parked next to you. I felt pretty safe up there.
Only saw two idiots, one that had made it to the line, several lifties in the corral ask him if he has a mask on, he pulls his face into his coat and proclaims he doesn’t need one. He argued all the way through the line to the point of loading where they stopped the lift. They eventually let him ride up with a firm insistence he wouldn’t be allowed on again.
Another guy goes to walk over the pedestrian bridge bare faced, public safety tells him he needs a mask. He proceeds to argue how he’d read the website and didn’t see anything about a mask and gave public safety the “I don’t know who you are but I read the website and epidemiologists agree masks don’t work!” Good on public safety who pointed out the sign and told him he was not going past that sign without a mask on.
Snow was good, the usual early season stuff was served up off of Zoom and Little Cloud bowl was open from the old lady ropeline to the start of puckerbrush. Regulator was firing, not a touch of firmness.
Yeah Snowbird was great! After a week of skiing Alta's short flat groomers it was nice to let her rip on Regulator. Regulator was an absolute blast on GS skis, ice and all. Parking was great, lines were short, MOST people were cool. Around noon I was standing at the front of the line for Gadzoom waiting to be called to pass through the gate and some stranger behind me asked if he could ride with me. I gave him a simple no. He then objected saying, "what you going to take up a whole chair by yourself!". Now remember there is a 20" base, it hasn't snowed in weeks, the only thing open are a few groomers unless you wanted to core shot your skis on Old Ladies which many were, and there was virtually no lines to top it off, and this 25 year old wanted to argue with me about why he can't ride up with me. So I said, "I just wired $20,000 today to pay for the medical care of a child I know in the ICU with covid. I have 12 people who depend on me financially for living expenses and medical care. I am not going to jeopardize their ability to live just because some asshole has the hots for me (I'm a middle age ugly dude) and wants to ride a chair with me". He said something in return I don't remember objecting to my argument and saying I don't know how the lifts work which made me say "I ski 150 days a year here (which I do), I know how the lifts work". That shut him up. I so very very very much wanted him to follow me up Little Cloud though as I know I would have smoked him.
Found a little SnowClaw shovel the other day while skinning in LCC. Anyone here lost it?
I wanted to ski the bird, but i wasn't able to book a parking spot at 11am. I headed up to Alta instead and skied the backside a few times.
I'm going to be up your guys way to get some boot work done next Monday/Tuesday at sportsden. What's probably the best place to hit between little and big cottonwood as far as safe COVID procedures/crowds? I figure I should test the boots since i'm making a long ass drive to get them worked on.
