Nope.
didn't have an Allegro estate either.
Watch to the very end and see.

Just getting caught back up. The Mongolia special was one of the top 5 in the trio's history for sure.
'No, you drove yesterday! Don't you remember?'
One more last night, also a good one

I feel compelled to start at season 1 all over again before starting the new iteration which will no doubt be the best. Their specials have always been the highlight, I’m stoked to see the big trips get the focus!

Just caught up.
Mongolia was awesome. Amazed that car survived.
The Ford Mondeo episode was fantastic top to bottom. Unapologetically British and the close got things all misty for sure. Made me realize how many years I’ve loved this trio.
the skeeziest, trailer-parkiest lifty at our little bump went from "the bus" to driving a convertible Mustang on summer tires this winter. Fucking epic.
The whole thing appeared to shape up as an exercise in shaming anyone who didn't show up to work on time....like "hey, look at this guy, he's here with his convertible mustang. Where were you?" or something along those lines. Juicy tactic I must say.
The new season of Top Gear is appalling.
Looking forward to more Grand Tour long format, no tent, co chat episodes.
Too bad..I thought last session of TG was enjoyable. All three presenters were different and all seemed to get along.
James May: Our Man in Japan
Yeah I’ll watch that.
Watched “Seamen” on Prime last night. Good stuff. “The inside of a teenager’s sock.”
Far, far better without the tent.
"Just how many low rent pornographic films were shot on that boat?"
"I don't want to think about that!"

I walked in and watched it for a few minutes with Mrs L2S and thought, "what is this rubbish"? Boats, in Cambodia?
And on that unfortunate news... for Top Gear...
Loved it. Was positive May was going to die in the sea.
It was ok... not sure it was more than 60mins of material tho
Yeah it got a little slow, and the recap near the end was unnecessary, but overall entertaining and the Top Gear reference at the end was gold.
Yeah, what was up with that recap?
I enjoyed it, and was always a fan of their specials. It definitely felt way less rehearsed/staged than the first few seasons of The Grand Tour.
Just finished the series. Loved it. May was hilarious; the Kyoto segment had me laughing like a stupid teenager.
Made me want to get back to Japan ASAP. Job well done, Capt. Slowly.
Sounds like Mr. Wilman may have had the COVID.

Cross post from the gin thread:
Tune in now to watch Hammond and May drink gin for 50 minutes in honor of World Gin Day.

Nothing!? Looks pretty good. My kids cheered when they saw there was a new episode coming.
The trailer looks good. I'm excited to see how the Continental does. Their format changes so often and episodes are so few and far between, I'm not nearly as excited as I was for the OG format.
With Mr. Bezos stepping down from his role as CEO, can we expect him to use this new found freedom to focus on a more timely rollout of The Grand Tour Specials?
Someone slip that in the suggestion box, would ya?
Thanks,
I'm sure Amazon would love to have more episodes - but Covid makes travelling to film them tough.
RIP to the Queen of the Nurburgring, and former Top Gear guest and host, Sabine Schmitz. Way too young at 51.

Has anyone watched the latest rendition of Top Gear America? The one only available on Motortrend?
I’m big fan of Rob Corddry and I find Dax Shepard’s podcast entertaining... but I haven’t tuned in yet... just not willing to sign up for yet another streaming subscription....

I watched the first few episodes. It's aight, I wouldn't pay for the on demand just for that though. I'd rather watch reruns of the old Top Gear BBC
Courdry is actually pretty blah, the random guy seems alright and calls himself "the guy you don't know", and Dax's airbrush depiction of himself was awesome.
Its definitely a work in progress, but it is already better than anything with smarmy rich kid Tanner Foust in it, so automatic win.
Motortrend app is like 5 bucks a month, gets you every top gear, along with Roadkill Garage, Dirt Every Day, and Hot Rod Garage, each of which is pretty damn good if you ask me as an original program. I really dig Lucky Costa on HRG as that guy really has the mechanical chops and him and Tony really get along well together. Same with Dulcich and Freiberger and Fred and Dave on DED.
