Not sure if it's snowing in vail/bc, but all the dumpage up here has turned to full on sunshine - wish I had some time to get out for a tour this afternoon, there's at least a half foot or so blown up onto my porch from today.
just got home from Glenwood and it was Nuclear Winter in the Canyon. Moderate snow in Vail at the moment. Wife skinned up the hill behind the house this afternoon and said it was pretty heavy.
On a somewhat related note, looks like Mongolia and GameCreek bowls closed today for some reason.
Today was off the hook today in Crested Butte. At least a foot and a half, and it's still snowing. They never got Phoenix/Spellbound opened today, tomorrow will be insanely good. Tix are under $20 if you have a pass anywhere- it's worth calling in sick and jumping in your car right now.
By tomorrow's snow report, we will have set a new record for season snowfall (425`"), and we will be over 100" for base.
Dumping in Leadville again. Wooh! Might have to figure out a tour after work tomorrow.

It was snowing pretty much all day at Breck. Tracks were filling in very nicely. North side of peak 10 was amazing. Heavy snow below 10,000ft though, so stay up there tomorrow people.
looks like a good storm on track for tomorrow afternoon thru Thurs evening. Sat and Sun look like sunny and 50-55. Monday and Tuesday look sunny and low 60s!!!!!!!

Loveland still had some good stashes this morning, but a little more fresh fluff wouldn't hurt.
snowed pretty hard for about an hour this afternoon. Picked up a quick inch and quiet since then. Looks like as usual, we will have to wait til the flow shifts to the NW before our snow machine cranks up.
It just started here in Leadville. Only an inch so far. But I'm not worrying yet, there's still 18+ hours of Winter Storm Warning left...
just checked out the water vapor loop and it looks like the low has already moved far enough east to create upslope conditions, so I'm not expecting too much more here in Breck. LL/WP/Bert should do better. they were calling for 6"-18" and Summit Cnty areas reported 3"-4". Awesome.:rolleyes:
the forecast called for 10"-20" in Vail/Aspen and the reports indicate 4"-7" at report time.
this storm could just be the great dud of the season.

edit: I was keeping an eye on the loops since yesterday and this storm just never looked organized enough to give us the amount of snow they were calling for.

Def more than they reported up on Peak 10 this morning, spots of about a foot.. largely due to the wind loading. I caught first chair before work and took 7 laps without even having to ride the lift with anyone else... it was empty.
Not much new snow here, but there's definitely a decent amount of wind.

Who the fuck cares about the foothills? The only thing the foothills are good for is mountain biking, and I"m pretty sure we don't want any more snow to hold us up there. The real mountains are getting some decent snow, at least down south. :)

I'm hoping to mountain bike on Sunday, so the lack of snow in the FR today was a blessing in my eyes.
deeper every run today at outback. About 10-12" by 1pm. Tomorrow should be good, especially for the 2nd week in April.

Dayum, it's my birthday today too... this is the best present I could ever think of.
weather has been pretty quiet lately. Pretty good for the snowpack as we have had a few days of warm then a few days of colder. Looks like more of the same for this week, sunny and warm til Thurs then cold and snowy again. This system looks to be more potent than the one last week.
