Boy, Phoenix sure did get good ROI on that stadium. How many big events has this thing hosted by now?
Goddamn, they are doing it easily.

Only 36-30 at half time? Pretty boring stuff.
Billy, are we watching the same game?
uconn is as complete a team as I can remember. they don’t do anything to beat themselves. Also helps when only one player from the opposing team shows up.

Did I need a wink emoji?
Lol. I got the reference.
I just found out I won my pool of ~100 people. I had Kentucky and some other loser in the final four so I stopped paying attention. Went on Spring Break and was told today that I’ve got Purdue and UConn in the final and if UConn wins it’s mine. Lol.
UConn coach’s immediate post game comments came off as classless. “Purdue is the second best”.
South Carolina women’s coach could help this guy out.
UCLA will likely never be caught, but Kentucky is in range now & Duke in the rearview plus UCONN didnt get started with titles til 99
Going to need to make some room here

Okay big bro.
Back on topic, I’m glad UConn did it b2b. Seems like it’s been awhile since a team has been able to separate themselves from the pack with sustained dominance the way they have. I’ll put this years team up there with some of the best teams ever. Suffocating defense and disciplined, efficient offense with a 1-8 lineup that can mix and match and get it done no matter what. We’ll see about a 3-peat. Newton will be tough to replace but last year’s departures were supposed to be impossible to replace and they somehow got better.

It's a new era with NIL. A great coach like Danny Hurley with a suit case of money from a legacy hoops program like UCONN can have some sustainability. Those guys were as close to automatic when coming out of a time out. That's a sign of a team that can actually execute a well coached/prepped program. I think being a youngster you have only actually watched the shitty juniors/seniors mixed in with blue chip one/done kid that never quite jell as a great team that have been common the last 10 years.
I think players have figured out it's better to hang out an extra year with a decent payday than declare for the draft only to be a second rounder or not even drafted and play overseas for under $75k year.
Godzilla vs. King Kong
for the first time ever, the women's title game drew more viewers than the men's title game.
woodsy, start up the new thread please. we have exhibition games and coaching shake ups afoot.
