Dot’s cheesy poof are tasty. Not $1+ billion, but tasty.
Never forget.
Bagtagleys recommendation on Extra Cheddar Blast Pirate Booty was spot on.
Paqui chips have surprisingly good flavor-to-spice but not the coffin death chip version.
Favorite chips for chips and salsa? I'm recently sold on Don Julio's Black Label - you don't even need salsa they taste so good. Juanitas seems trendy but tasty too.
Donkey chips are good if you want to ladle good salsa.
Just had these in Hawaii, SO so good.

Those have my attention.
Josefina chips have usurped Juanita’s as the chip of choice for salsa around here.

Lol, are you questioning my snackscape judgement?
I stand by my assessment of Voodoo chips and that Captn Crunchberry Smartpop seems like a bad idea.
If anyone is looking for a great gift idea this year, do yourself a favor and order some nuts from Hillson Nut Company. Old school nut company from the 30s. Awesome mix, perfectly salted and always fresh.

Of course not. But I thought you'd be a Hubs Nut guy.
Riser shat on Voodoo chips then asks why you'd harsh a stoner's mellow - previously doing what he said you shouldn't do.
As for Donkey chips, is that a Whole Food purchase? Never seen them in my many grocery haunts.
Ha! I gotcha.
I come by Hillsons the same way any buyer of nuts during the holidays does: because that’s the way it’s been done in your family for generations.
I will say though that I’m a bit of a nut snob and Hillsons still are the best I’ve ever had.

Maybe a Midwest thing, I guess they are based in il? https://donkey-brands.com/ the closest to taqueria chips I’ve found lately. Since the borg takeover of whole paycheck they’ve started to suck so I rarely shop there.
Voodoo chips need a lot more heat. They weren't terrible, I was just expecting more from them after the hype.
I'm a performance artist. Keep that in mind.
Perfect balance of crispy, light and just a bit oily.

I'm sure the snack connoisseurs here already know this, but Josefina is a knockoff made by Frito-Lay. Having said that, Juanita's had some consistency hiccups around the time they expanded manufacturing - there are multiple threads on our local Reddit attempting to decode the packaging to identify chips from the new factory vs original factory - so maybe Josefina has pulled ahead in terms of quality. Still, it's such a blatant attempt to rip off / muscle out a family-owned business that I can't do it - Juanita's 4 lyfe, yo.
Tim's "Sasquatch Surprise" chips are back in stores. Basically a vinegary bbq chip. Quite tasty!
I think a pre-nup of some sort would take care of the stickier occasions between the families.
Hillson’s (and there’s several others) were brought over by Eastern European immigrants to Cleveland and the holiday nut giving comes from them. Big throughout the great lakes region.
Southerners give nuts too, but it’s a different sort of thing. They’re usually prepared in some way (boiled peanuts being the biggest example).
Ordered as stocking stuffers for my boys.
