Almost done with launching season. Now I can get our own boats ready to go.
Those Rhodes are looking good. I hope to get out for the first sail of the season by calling in favors on Father's Day.

Dropped my boy off at sailing camp this weekend. Not gonna lie, I'm super jealous of all the fun he’s going to have these next few weeks.
If anyone wants to watch a great sailing channel on YouTube.. check out Madison Boatworks... A married couple from Seattle area .. Fixed up a wooden boat. Sailed down west coast to Mexico.. Then across the Pacific to Marqueses and Tahiti.. And Fiji..and other islands.. They are still sailing.. Heading for Oz.. After that I don't know.. They post about once a month..

Don’t trash me for the condition of the sailing center boat. You should have seen how it was left in when we boarded!
That being said, is there any benefit to loosening the halyard and pulling the main sail down via the cunningham so there is no gap at the foot?
I would see if you can attach the Tack of the mainsail to the Gooseneck on the boom and then run the Cunningham hook through that empty Cringle about 12” up the sail.Quote:

ETA: Upon further review, there's 2 hooks on the gooseneck. One of those should be used to attach the tack. Just have to make sure it stays on the hook when you raise the halyard.
