Ok, ok... This is a good thread. Let's keep it on point.
I like beers brewed with some spice.
Good for one beer, but do yourself a favor and don't exceed that.
The little experience I've had with Idaho 7 hop I've enjoyed.
Is not a Vermont beer, but I've enjoyed Firestone's Leo vs. Ursus series. The past three batches have been wildly different but all are very balanced with great finish.
This recent batch, inferno, is a Rye IPA. Good caramel color, with a note of spice. Nice fall ipa

Idaho 7 definitely has an interesting flavor profile. I like it
What is everyone’s favorite hops?
Me? El Dorado, Vic Secret, Galaxy
Galaxy and Vic Secret for me as well.
That Great Rhythm is quite tasty. Worth a stop on the way to Bissell Bros.
Oh and spend the $10 to get a proper tulip for a 16oz pour.
Just put ScottyBeams in the keg, taste is fantastic. Nearly spot on to Sip of Sunshine.
sorry for the cunt up. any of the VT maggs dialed in with scoring the goods up north without having to wait in line ? I don't mind paying a premium but not a fan of standing around for an hour to do it. Can trade for tree house or trillium isf necessary
sierra is tasty for sure but can't hold a candle to some of the silly good ipas out now. Notice how turbid they are now ? like OJ . new England ipa is all the rage. Has anyone tried Down The Road's Queequeg's Revenge ? top notch. I used to rep it https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/39144/270269/
Make beer not whore
weird. merch guy gave me a VERMONT pub & brewery tie dye last weekend at the Nerax cask event. says that on the front...make beer , not war..with a peace sign . ying yang on the back with the "we're from vermont, we brew what we want" on the back. I'm not not a tie dye fan and it's kinda ghey, but it was a gift, so.....thanks.
WTF is MPPG ???!!!

I think I would pick Citra as my favorite although HF double galaxy is pretty amazing.
Sipped a sample of Focal yesterday in a 2 minute line.
Hunkered down for the holiday stretch with BBC Destroyed by Hippie Powers w/ Lemongrass [tasty], Orbital Elevator, Cloud Drop and fresh Alana [this beer is fucking tasty].
doh. I thought that was a liquor store. clearly not in his basement, unless he keeps all that schwaggy beer for the clueless beer drinkers.
I've got no problem scoring great beer, it's the stuff that doesn't leave vermont that I'm after. the season is upon us, so not worried about trying to score the good stuff that has to be "imported" from Vermont.
Remember Mountain Ale from the old Shed in Stowe ? barley wine uber beer. We used to keep a keg of it on tap at our old ski house, Friggin 12%abv delicious and dangerous. way before all the Hill Farmstead,Alchemist , etc
This time of year is not bad, you've just gotta run up there mid-week or during off hours. I live about an hour fifteen from Hill farmstead, I can run up there at 3pm on a Thursday and be one of the only people there.
I spy 21 beers in my cooler that are only availible in VT, but some of the high octane beers like, Resin, Becky likes the smell, hardcore chimera, Leo vs. Ursus, big cranky etc sell really well.
My store is on the fringe of the "dartmouth bubble" of the upper valley so we get both kind of beer drinkers. It's a little disconcerting how much twisted tea and BL we sell. Lol
Shed from stowe has sold the restaurant, but still brews a 'rugged brown' Mountain ale that sells really well with the non-hopheads. The abv is only about 7.2 nowadays
Victoria Secret is the new it gurl, so to speak.
if you're a big citra fan, try this
