Jebus was it windy today. Almost had the skis ripped from my hand. Skied pretty well, just enough new stuff to keep you from punching through the crust.

Ridiculous coverage and incredible snow. First tracks down Pat's to Hanging Snowfield yesterday one of the best runs of the year. Maybe should change the Bridger slogan from "Ski the Cold Smoke" to "Slay the Hero Powder". It's what I imagine Alaska to be like; moist snow that sticks to everything with cold air overnight sucking out the moisture leaving silky velvet. Good times at the Bridger Ski Bowl!

Would be nice if if snows a couple more days, thinkin I'm ridin Sunday?, Monday and Tuesday at BB and a couple of days at BS and MB if the snows good. Spring skiing is good.

Friday morn Edit: another 7" overnight, with more during the day, on top of 6" from yesterday, on top of a perfectly smooth mountain with a ten foot base will make today the best skiing of the entire season.
yea the last two days have been amazing!! i wouldnt say the best of the year...... but today might be.

pretty sick up there -- no schlasman's today. patrol was down 3 people, two called in sick and one got caught in a slide this morning (word is that he's fine, nothing broken but had to go get some stitches).
ridge was total madness when it opened and the ridge top winds were just plain nasty. can't believe those gusts were only 30 mph. i trekked south to the nose and was so glad i had a balaclava in my pack.
hope it keeps snowing cuz there's a shitload of cars in the parking lot.
huge props to patrol getting things open.
