Skied off peak 1 a month or so back. As we scrambled over one of the larger debris piles we encountered about 20 engineers and government people. It did not look well organized.

Summit County just posted that cleanup has begun on the path between Copper and Frisco.

Rode around the lake today. So awesome to see how much snow is up high.

Made that lap yesterday, while stopping at every brewery and the distillery. Such a nice ride, should do it more often.

Who here is involved with Clear Creek 911, emergency dispatch?

I was coming down mount Evans on Friday and the full complement of Search and Rescue came rallying up. I see that a call for “rescue involving vehicle rollover near MM14 on HWY 5” on Alpine Rescue’s website but no other details and no news stories that I could find.

Curious what went down.

Better that people ask online later than looky-loo as they drive by and slow traffic or cause more accidents. Of course there is only so much information that anyone could reveal online without going through an agency PIO.

My SO has been bugging me to get out for a short backpacking trip. Any votes on where is high enough to have good scenery and nice weather, but not be completely snowed in? 3 day, 2-night kinda affair.

Yep -- awesome area this time of year and in fall. We've done the Lost Creek loop. Perhaps there are some other bits in there worth exploring though.
