Powtron and Co.,
This time I will have to refuse, sorry bros. My parents are in town and will be staying with us until next Monday, so, I am going to have to say sorry but no go this time. I can, however, recommend some cheap local hotels and you guys can ride up with me, should you choose. PM me your cell and we can meet up.
split system with what appears most of the energy with the southern stream, althoug hless so in today's models. my guess is advisory amounts for most mountain areas.
so we've waited 10 days for........JACK SHIT. Another day crusing groomers. I can't say enough about the job VR has done getting as much or the mountain open but man do we need snow. So I would guess 4" max out of Tues/Wed then another ridge of High pressure. Fuck this sucks.
you're right Funken, I should STFU.
I'm pretty pissed at the weather right now, Broncos suck, and generally getting pissed at Colorado. I need powder like a drug right now.
Road trip is probably the thing to do with all of the holiday time off work coming up... it's not worth hanging around here.
Glass half-empty: Our base is sorrier than the board game.
Glass half-full: It is a great time to be an instructor. Lots of kids in town and no pow to distract me from wedging around the groomers with a tail of groms.
Verdict: Fuck half-full. Snow dammit!
Mountain biking was PERFECT in Pueblo this weekend. Makes up for the lack of snow.
when was the last time summit had a 20-25 inch base in January?
hey douchebags.
quit bitching in this thread. its for weather observations and discussion, not your sweet blogs on your sweet life in Summit County with a 20 inch base.

Puffin,
For your convenience, I have checked all that applied:
[x] You have the gheyest name on TGR
[ ] You know what you are talking about
[x] You have butthurt in spades
[x] You are challenging montanaskier for the most butthurt on this forum
[ ] You clearly understand that weekend CPC 6-10 and 8-14 model maps are not to be trusted because they have no forecaster input and therefore, have no way to modify model bias
[x] DIAGF
this thread makes me laugh at times. Rontele FTW.
hey rontele.
I am well aware there is no forecaster input for the 8-14 day. That being said, seeing brown over most of the country usually is not a good sign.
But you may not be considering you have posted it here countless times. I know you are the be all end all of weather... so its okay for you to post it. Oh wait your not, and its a public forum and Ill do what I want. So fuck you.
Oh look. Here's one of your 'useful' posts now: http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...t=2548...there
For your convenience have checked all that apply.
[x] i have seen you post the 8-14 before
[x] you use geekspeak and spell gay with a h
[x] the reason you tele is just because you like being on your knees
[x] you have 10k posts is cuz u gotta type instead of talking in the real because its tough to get your point across with that cock in your mouth.
[x] Sounds like your butthurt bc I have 25 days on the snow this year and youve spent the whole early season on colfax smoking johnson trying to save that hard-earned for a ski pass.
Why dont you wipe that cum off your mustache and maybe we can get back to the weather...
Sweet flame though. :D
back to weather. System will dig south and be a southern snow maker. Good accumulations for the San Juans. Light stuff for the north and central zones. More unsettled weather on tap for the start of next week.
Maybe I can rip the gnar in Erie this week, since it looks like we'll end up with more snow than Loveland.
incoming storm is a snoozer for all but the south...
maybe something a bit more when summed up with the wed-thurs morning totals?
The flow will be better for sure on Wed/Thurs but I don't see the moisture. Those flows however can drop sneaky amounts at times. I would look for a couple or 3" at the most for EC and add that to the maybe 1 or 2 from Tues night. Winter Park and Bert might do a tad better. Looks cold again and ridging for the weekend.
The storm for the first of next week looks to be a southern storm again right now, but a long ways out.
The sneaky NW flow that wasn't supposed to drop anything, left 14 inches at Bert...
NWS has three straight periods of snow for Bert and the late GFS 5-day QPF looks reasonably bullish with .8.
Rontele, every time you post in this thread a snowflake dies.
WHERE IS THE GODDAMN SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! fuck.
I went 4-8" for the Front Range mtns for Tues PM through Wed. If the moisture hangs on, the cont divide could do well on Wed through Thurs, but we'll see...hard to tell at this point. Plus, super cold air returns.
Updated the site here: http://www.coloradopowderforecast.co...-bad-the-ugly/
The cont divide snow last Thurs/Fri was a pleasant surprise...
