Looks great man, nice work.
Tek ques: is the concrete a solid thickness edge to edge? or is the edge thickness deeper than the center of the table?
Told my wife that she better like that rug.
That whole slab is one uniform shape. Put rebar throughout.

Oof!

Cheers, well done!
Can you do me a kindness and straighten up that horizontal cross piece? Making me twitch.
That’s what I’d use as an excuse to buy a leather hide to wrap around some upholstery foam. Wrap that entire edge in leather.
(I say that because I just purchased a bunch of hides for my entry remodel.)
Already looks dope, though. And residents will get used to it being there. Doubt anyone will actually bump it.

In 1998 I wanted to try to take a product from concept to market and used this lamp I designed in my attempt. I made all the tooling and jigs, but the lens material was beyond my capabilities and I had to shelve the project.
A few years ago I found 7 or 8 of the original frames I made and recently decided to try and finish them off. It took a while to find the right lens material but I did and with a new production method I have the first lamp finished. Fuck I hate these things.
I was more concerned with it toppling and completely obliterating some little kid. I just laid it on the base without any further attachment. I’m 200 lbs and stood on the very corner and it didn’t budge a millimeter.

Had these old cast iron railings from an old retail park bench I bought 20 years ago, the wooden slats were starting to fail so threw those out along with some other hardware.
Cleaned up the railings and spraypainted them after drilling a few new holes through the cast iron. Lined up each ski and secured them in with carriage bolts. Here's the finally finished project to the joy of Mrs. Mtnjam for freeing up garage space for bike work.

This is my poop pot. It’s my greatest creation. Small pot in the center holds poop bags. Old BBQ tongs for weekly transfer into curbside can.

And so on and so on.
More to come.
It's been about a year since I checked in, but I'm declaring it done. Kitchen built in bench with cabinets, drawers and shelves. Everything got pretty delayed as I was ready to paint all the paintable stuff in November, and well it rained on Caliifornia until April, and when it wasn't raining, I was skiing. There's still a bit of drawer adjustment and paint touch up, but close enough.
Very first attempt at hand cut dovetails on some scrap. I'll keep my day job.

Dang. That's nice.
I see your wife subscribed to the same notion that every surface, the more beautiful the better, should be completely covered in pillows.
Envious of that shop.
Want to do something similar in my mud room. Super awesome looking. Love the contrasts and colors too.

Yeah, nice work and A+ throw pillow game. How are the shelves attached to the walls?
That's a lot of pillows.
do you sit on the shelves?
