We caught the Pano opening and got two runs in before yhey closed it. It was demolition derby.
Wind was howling up high and skier's left was wind fucked. Skier's right below tree line was the best part of the day.

Pano opened? We saw it spin early in the morning but never again, but we left about 1:30.
This is what the super gauge looked like 20 minutes before lifts opened.

I have to say, at this point, it's the norm, but I really enjoyed the bond throwback. Haven't seen that in years. Thanks.
I just got back from socal. Holy shit, did I miss this one. I'll get out tomorrow, at least.
So I hit the Jane yesterday, and it was fucking killer. The 1st couple waits in the Super Gauge were out the gates, but probably still only ~10 minutes.
Pano opened mid-morning, which nearly eliminated the SG crowds. We lapped untracked shit on the Jane all morning. Trestle was as good as I've ever seen it. Trees were holding what felt like more than the reported 21"...
How were the lines out at EW, Danno? I didn't head out there, mainly because the goods were so good right off the SG all day.
Ha, we had a different experience, we stuck around super g and Sunnyside and Pano was closed (and while we saw it spinning much earlier, it wasn't moving). Saw that eagle wind was open and rallied there (that traverse was a zoo). Eagle wind was stellar, only one line when the lift went down for a while, every other lap was almost ski right on. So deep. So good.
Sorry we didn't connect, but you understand how it goes on a day like that.
bringing the grill and chairs to jane c lot tomorrow. laps, brats, and beers.
Indeed. This is our own @FullTrucker on our warmup lap:

Absolutely. We discussed this a few time during our morning lift-rides, and how it was NEVER gonna happen on a day like that. :yourock:Quote:

Woot!!
MoPed. She’s fun to ride, even if your friends give you shit.
Some fun deep snow, bit challenging, I can see why these PNW peeps go so wide, the 125 full rocker paid off in the thick stuff.

Glad you guys had fun... but fuck Eldora.
:D
Fighting between winter park and Eldora is like arguing over two different shades of white paint.
Don't get me wrong... I'm glad you guys like Eldora.
:D
I’m glad you guys like Ikon. Skied onto the lift all day. Like a ghost town. So bizarre. So good.
We're all spoiled brats ;-)
Don't get me wrong. I'm glad folks like different things.
My puzzlement is along the lines of wondering what it is about kale that people like.

I'd rather ski Eldora than work hard.

Kind of a crossover from mountain biking:
"Pick a ski area... and then be a dick about it"
