I'd say that you got a straighter answer then you desired.
Creamy fun today - meadow skipping in the Indian Peaks contrasted with yesterday's dust over crust at Eldora.
@auvgeek - thanks for putting up with me.
Super fun lately. Glad to not be meadow skipping anymore. Bagged some prime steep lines that we haven't gotten in a few years. I'm sunburnt and sore. Stoke is high
Sunlight skied great today
North face of Sniktau skied incredibly well yesterday. No crust, no wind slab, just powdery goodness over a well consolidated base.

That’s a huge pile of big sticks caused from a big avalanche in Herman gulch area, probably caused from the large snow totals over the season

Pretty good example of why "Climb what you Ski" isn't always a great idea:

Exposing 6 people to the slope for 1+hrs vs ascending the ridge and skiing one at a time? You pick.
Glad no one was seriously injured.
That is the standard route to hit shit for brains. Unfortunately they found out the hard way that it wasn't ready to be skied. Barfed out the mouth of the chute....yikes
Crampons are pointy :(
6 might be too many on a good day, but 2 was too many that day, no?
The one time I did SFB, I took the ridge. It was quick and easy. Too quick actually. I ended up waiting an hour at the top waiting for it to corn up. No way I'm climbing up that thing with the hordes these days.
I was under the impression that there is a class 4 move or 2 on the ridge. Not exactly a walk in the park with ski boots on. Plus, snow climbs are fun. I’ve only ever skied it after climbing it. It’s a fun, easy snow climb in the right conditions.

It looked like I saw some people drop the backside of the tree chutes hike then go up dog leg on Sunday. Had thought maybe they were doing that to try to be sneaky but it easily could have been two different groups.

6-12" of cold pow. And we climbed it first.
For Gore-curious individuals, the entrance/exit slogs are the easiest they've ever been IMO.
