I'll be there with a crew of dads and youngens.
Surprised nothing is registering on the study plot. Probably 1/2" of very saturated snow at the base of Alta.
Edit to add: seems like the sensors aren't out yet.

Reed tryin to spur more pass sales. Feb weekends are only for passholders at the Powder Mountain
giddyup!
Considering their season pass prices are now second only to Deer Valley, they better throw in something like that.
He's certainly trying to shake things up.... Hopefully these aren't steps towards full privatization. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out, but I think Pow Mow is being foolish and will lose money with this move. I guess we'll have to see if they continue to do this in future seasons or further implement it to know if this experiment is a success.
I'm sure many competitors will be watching. Seems like every season pass holders dream
I’d put my money on Hastings has the data and knows exactly what he’s doing. Will it benefit shareholders? Definitely. Will it be good for skiing? Probably not.
The dysfunctional board dynamics at pow mow kept it stagnant and pretty awesome for skiers for a long time. Now that the tech CEO has taken control I think the salad days are over.
alternative take is that the mountain is at peak capacity on those days and they have limited terrain after removing a 1/5 of the mountain to general population. Avoid shit show epic lift lines complaining by limiting skiers on the mountain (while pumping pass sales)
No tourists for president weekend
No tourists spun out on the road
No tourists for the trifecta

Tourists keep the bills paid and the lights on.
And the Powder Keg full, and the bartenders and band's tip jar. Few of my friends scheduled to play there during the month aren't too happy about it.
There are no shareholders, only 'neighbors'. I have a suspicion that it's the new GM and not Reed behind these knee-jerk, late in the game decisions. It's at the point now they are just throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. Pretty sure Kevin Mitchell was the one behind the Military Appreciation day fiasco last season and the subsequent backlash.

Glad to hear that most rental car companies are participating in the sticker program.
