^^^ That’s a good price for what it is
An EarthCruiser with way fewer upgrades goes for $600k

I’d be concerned about replaced exhaust, pinion seals, and u-joints after only 16k miles though

Does this qualify? Bonus points if you know the driver (I do).

No. That's a different category. GOTOS is about spotless off-road rigs you see in a Whole Foods parking lot and not about things that real people actually use.
Heh. Might as well paint "Pull me over, I'm holding" on that. Yes, I know there was some decriminalization in Oregon of some amounts. Still, don't poke the bear.
My first thought as well :D
At least have one of the old analog bus signs that you could change when appropriate
Holy fuck I need the back story, and how far, and any elevation that overloaded transmission was used and abused through?
Totally not GOTOS but worthy of recognition no doubt. Not to mention braking. Geez I’m in awe and I’ve loaded down some sketchy rigs for short duration hauls.
The one I posted? Yeah, it is special. He is/was driving from Colorado to West By God Virginia. I think he ditched the boat trailer before he hit the Appalachian mountains.
Right side drive brought in from Japan. Actually pretty cool vehicle

Want to bring a 5 ton to party on? Well, just grab your other 5 ton to flat tow it!

Definitely not a rental.
But they are multifuel, so you can pretty much shove anything down its throat and it will eat it up.
Wish I had pics to illustrate the hilarity I saw the other day. Was at the beach and putting up the shore was fully GOTOS'd out vehicle after vehicle. Jeeps, 4Runners, lifted trucks, etc. Ok, fine whatever. At least they're using them, right?
But that wasn't the funny part. What cracked me up was how in the distance, I heard the familiar chime of the ice cream man, and few minutes later, sure enough. A beat up old van selling paletas y elotes! He was cruising down the beach just as handily as all the Jeeps and what not. It was just a classic moment. We were in our trusty old XC70 FWIW. No expensive aftermarket toys required.

Heh. Kero or moonshine heads.
My dad said his early 60s Ford F-100 would run on just about anything to including donkey piss. I forget what year. It was a cool truck. It had the turn signal trees. Green. At EOL it was held together with chewing gum. Fo real yo. It was a part of my childhood. It's last days were spent with high sides on the bed as a haying rig. Dad did loose hay so pulling an old hay loader carefully over the right height windrows worked well to load the truck. Field truck.
Not sure if this is GOTOS as there was a lack of shit bolted outside, but given the thread drift into mega rigs, I just spotted this ski/bike beast on I-80 in reno
