I think the time to start the new thread is now: kids are back in school, people everywhere are noticing the shorter days and lower sun angle and colder nights. The sales are about to happen. I gaurantee someone somewhere is doing something to jinx the winter. The best we can do is set ourselves up with high positivity so that we can enjoy the season -whatever it brings.

On the snow jinx note... I was fine with just my Squawlpine pass, but today pulled the trigger on the Epic Tahoe local pass in addition... because if early season is shitty (again), Northstar is so much better than just skiing icy Red Dog laps. Or for windy days. Consider it a reverse jinx. But the other motivation is to meet up with some of you to show me around Kirkwood properly, if willing. I like the mountain a lot the handful of times I've been there but would like to get to know it better.
Skied a four foot base at KW in October two months short of a decade ago today. That'd be nice to have again.
