Best Gaper qoute of the weekend?

Not a gaper quote, but funny. My dad was using the single's line and the guys he paired up with asked where he's from (Mystic, CT now) and he asked the same (Annapolis, MD):
Dad: Oh, I used to live in Washington D.C. and would sail around Annapolis.
Tourist: What did you do in Washington?
Dad: It was the 70s and I was doing anti-war work with the American friends service committee.
Tourist: (Indignant) While you were doing that I was in the army!
Dad: Well I think everyone should do what they feel good about.
Tourist: (Angry) Well I don't think that way.
Dad: .........So, do you sail?

It must be a destination-resort thing, but I've been hit up by investment advisers a few times at Breckenridge. Ever felt like pushing a stranger off the chair? I guess that's what those safety bars are really for...

Really big, nice guy from the southeast comes into our PHQ to buy a Hoody. While he is inside with us we are talking about his visit and all kinds of other stuff.

The guy was aware enough to know that he was referred to by many locals as a Gaper. He slyly brought it up but pronounced Gaper as Gapper.

Local midwest bump today. My bro and I are headed up a lift and he has my dakine heli pack on with his expensive camera and stuff in it. Guy rolls up in the singles line and I offered for him to come up with us, the place was packed today. About half way up, after the "Beautiful day isn't it?" bs you always get from people he goes "What's the backpack for?" My brother goes "Carrying stuff." I turned my ipod up then but I guarantee another word was not spoken.

So, I am at this little midwest resort and I see these young guys with a DaKine Heli Pack, which is somewhat comical because there is like 200 vert, but we are chatting on the lift and ask what the pack is for.......they reply "carrying stuff". It was my gaper quote of the month......I mean, we are all skiing this shit resort and they act like they are too cool to have a conversation on a ski lift. Funny stuff.

I'm waiting at the end of a traverse today for a buddy to catch up to me and this guy comes up waving his hands to get my attention. I'm thinking great, my buddy somehow bailed on the traverse and this guy is trying to let me know he got hurt.

He finally rolls up to me and says "I really need to tell you something", so I say all confused "what??" He looks me straight in the eye and says "I'm the best skier on this mountain" with a completely straight face.

I really hope he was fucking with me. Ridiculous.
