So, should I regret not coming home to Austria over spring break?
im out to engelberg. i guess it will suck :fm:
i guess if this is not the correct use of the fingermoustache, i resign from trying to use its concept ;)
Snowing at 450m elevation right now in the Haute Savoie. Snowed last night at that level as well. Good skiing now and should be great skiing Friday and Saturday when the storm clears.
60-70fresh already and a warning by www.meteocentrale.ch that another 50cm may be on their way in the next 24h
and btw. carinthia got 100cm, northern austria up to 70cm.
and it's still snowing there (in the north) as well.
all hail the mighty Vb, Ullr's most wonderful minion :yourock: :yourock:
Subtle, guess who was supposed to fly to Eberg tomorrow...
I told ya all, that when I fugged my knee. The spring should be good.
parsenn was sooo good this morning KEEP IT FALLING :) :)
Anyone know how Krippenstein has been skiing? I know it is fairly low but i am hoping this storm might have hit it hard.
Trying to figure the best place to go for a quick wed-sat trip from prague.

faceshots all day bitches! It's fucking deep and more to come. Really got lucky here in a place not far from St Anton.
No one goes off piste here...it's all mine!!!!
Leysin today= Best day of the season. up to ~50cm here at the college. On the hill I dont even know how much there was, some spots were beyond waste deep, of blower snow. Ridiculous. No one goes off trail here either. Pics to follow
oups sorry to hear that. reading quickly i confused the was supposed with is supposed and understood that your season just starts since your knee is better now... and that you predicted a late season since you were hoping...
 i was hoping to see you. but i ll keep my eyes open for your friend and say hi from you when i see him. :)
There's only one word that can describe today: EPIC! 60cm at the verbier side of attelas. Had one continous faceshot under the new attalas 6-er chair all the way down to la combe1, 60cm!
(I know it's steep for the amount of new snow, was there with a guide that said it was ok under this conditions)
Rock on TDJ! This thread should be at the top....it is FINALLY SNOWING IN EUROLAND! Keep the stoke coming...the man is releasing me on Thursday night to get some bluebird pow!
Eurotrash collective, I wanna see some pics.
Hayduke, don't go spraying without any photographic backup!
Several all-time snowfall records were set for March in Austria in the last couple of days ...
Yep, my season never really started... A few lousy days at Åre, and then some molehills... Eberg was supposed to be a good one, and then something up north and finish the season with Stryn...
But my ACL and meniscus had other plans. Now boasting a new hamstring ACL and patched up meniscus, I won't be likely to ski until next season.
Oh well, next season should be epic... And I'll prolly try to get to Eberg and Alps in general a few times.
Off to ice the knee more...
oh, and if you do meet with Olli and his cousing, do say hi and possibly even show them around for a run or two (provided it's not an epic pow day).
snowing steadily all day here, supposed to get 15-20 tomorrow again. I couldnt move my neck today, jumped a 10m cliff yesterday and got some whiplash, but will be popping painkillers and out tomorrow.
This pic is from 2 nights ago at the beg of the storm, all ive got uploaded...

who is up for G3000 on FRIDAY? Supposed to be mainly sunny as of now!
Nearby Tauplitz saw 50cm fresh, Bergfex is saying 40cm fresh for Krippenstein with 200cm total up top.

Wow. Winter has truly returned to the Alps.
Which is a bit inconvenient for me as I am 4,500 miles away, it's currently 33 degrees C, and I'm overlooking palm trees and desert peaks.
Still, there ARE upsides. (mini TR to follow)
The story about the butterfly in Brazil flapping it's wings and causing a storm in Europe is a myth.
In reality, it's a Roo in some far away place, letting one rip that actually causes the storm.
