Colorado Weather Discussion Thread

Crazy event yesterday here.

I was skiing a lot of 2-8" wind smeared cream cheese with nice fluff once it got kicked into the air. Crazy when the fronts moved through. The easterly aspects were great on Snowmass, the snow was sluffing really easily though. May be an interesting cycle this week if things step down in the BC or the more loaded inbounds areas. Most of the pillows I skied were rather supportive, super fast exits.

Patrol was bombing late afternoon, much to my dogs dismay.
I didn’t get above the Nob today, but I bet Highland Bowl was good.

Round 2 coming in warm and windy.

11” at Highlands yesterday, 9” at Snowmass today.

Round 3 tonight.

About a foot at Wolfy, so far. Maybe 4" at my house.

Fucking legit at Beaver Creek today. They reported an inch, it was more like 10". I love it when that happens.

It's been pounding in downtown Denver for a while. Getting ready to ski the capitol switch to the road.

Same exact thing at Ajax. 1" report and about a foot of snow by the time I got up there. Neighboring mountains, Snowmass was reporting 10" and Highlands 8" so the place was deserted. I went up at 11 and barely crossed a track.

And schools were out, so many were at Snowmass.

Anyone ski WP today? Looks arctic tomorrow AM but thinking about a few hours in the morning up there since it looked like 10" on the snow stake this afternoon...

Not all aspects at WP got the goods today. Just a warning.

Appreciate the heads up!

I mean it's been 16 on the snow stake since this am. What aspects didn't get the goods? It'll be a whole new story tomorrow after that heavy wind comes in and blows everything around.
