Went for a quick trip and actually got a cutty, rainbow, and brown but these are my only pics cause my dogs were being assholes. The 6mo pup has an excuse but not Walter. Oh well it's always nice to get out.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7925af1472.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f08b7b3fc5.jpg

nice pic of a nice little fish ....
with all the concern about minimizing stress on fish,
net shots are the way to go, don't you think?
.
Can’t remember the last fish I successfully landed on a bobber rig. Checked out some water in southern Utah on my way south today.

The Clark Fork is up and muddy, but by plying the soft water of a side channel, with a small streamer hung from a bubble, I gave this micro-pike minnow the opportunity to hook himself, which he took.

No pike minnow hearts were mercilessly crushed by my cruelly ignernt, and non-elite-grandpoobah-of-flyfishing, grip to make this post.
PSA- downriver equipment in Denver has all Sawyer oars 25% off this weekend. Square tops, bandits, ect. Prettty good deal!

My buddy and I have been slaying the huge walleye and smallies the past month. He also picked up a huge Tench on a swimbait of all things. Lol

THAT'S a nice walleye!
WTF is a Tench?

It was an exceptionally windy day today, which didn't keep me from going fishing, but it did nearly knock me off my feet a couple times, and otherwise made fishing, um, interesting. We're in full runoff, so I wasn't expecting much, and didn't catch much, just a couple small pike minnows on a Pat's rubberlegs.

There were certainly plenty of bugs about, as was evidenced by a flock of violet green swallows which were impressively able to hunt bugs in high winds; I wonder how the birds caught enough bugs to offset the energy it took to fly in such adverse conditions. I've really come to enjoy their presence on the river, their aerobatics are impressive.

Fish did start feeding on the surface, but I couldn't get a rise out of them.
The other trout fish. Also known as dinner. Not bad for after dark fly chucking. Attachment 493923
Downeast for a few weeks. Should be a good mix of surf, marsh, and offshore. More to come.

Anyone have any guide recco’s for the Daytona FL area. Inland waters, my self and my 2 daughters. Probably a long shot but thought I’d ask.

It was a wet and windy day on the river, but having dressed for it, I had a great day, and landed a half dozen out of ten fish I hooked. Most of the day I fished a size 12 parachute Adams, and the fish thought it looked good, including a very large rainbow which threw the hook. I caught one, and lost another large one, on a #8 olive/black Pat's rubberlegs.
