Great pics as always, Norse. Looks like it was a beautiful day up there.
Ditto on the pics Norse.
Night shift was fast and fun although city league taking more than their fair share of real estate is annoying if not a little aggravating. Hopefully ullr dumps feet of snow "on ze masterz course" and they realize that taking yourself that seriously is overrated.
Hit a nice monster truck tire sized frozen piece of debris below 6 in lane 3 unexpectedly at high speed and almost lost my leg.
At one point my daughter sat up after a short skid and tumble and said,"I feel like a nail and the mountain keeps on hammering me like boom boom boom boom."
Yes dear that happens sometimes

Nice pics.
Yeesh, does sound spooky out there. Bummer about trees falling.
great pics Norse! especially that b&w one with the lift.
SVS - a suggestion. start a little journal capturing the amazing comments from your daughter as she says them. great memories for your family down the road.
Not bad out there today for my PM laps. Felt like maybe 5-6” with some creaminess on top of a mild crust. Top 2/3 of Nash were solid, lower 1/3 a little manky. Good times.

I'm no Norse, but the colors at sunset tonight were awesome.
Snow was good tonight though a bit grabby in the flats. Lessons start tomorrow, so crowds will really be starting. I wonder if they will enforce Lot 4 pass holder rule. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5ae443a2cd.jpg
Lots of folks up night skiing tonight. Main lot full ski school lot full lot 3 full lot 4 at about 30 percent full.
I had fun . Lots of stuff to launch off .
Parking lots and road turned into a skating rink when Ieft. Tomorrow should be interesting. Carry on

Poked around at Hyak this morning. Groomers were hard and fast. Anything off piste was covered with a nasty rain crust.
I toured up the valley today, got there at about 8 am and it was getting pretty full. I managed to find a spot in the small lot under the Phantom. It sure looked like they'd enforced the lot 4 rule, but the lot was full when I walked by it. There was a Snoqualmie Security officer (actually from the sheriff's office?) stationed there...
Pretty good snow up in Great Scott bowl.
They enforced it until about 9 when the lot filled. I rolled in at 850 and parked nearly at the trailhead. By the time I left at 1230 the sledders and snowshoers who arrived after the gaurd left had filled up drive aisles and parked in a few people. Also, when I was at my car at the end of the day I got told to hurry up by someone who was apparently waiting to take my spot.
Otherwise, surprisingly good snow quality, great sun, and right side of int'l is the best side of int'l. Watching the freeride program on the fan was pretty entertaining- some 12 year went accidental full send, and left a bombhole in the hardpack, yet ran out of the crash laughing.
Nearly ski on lifts for me from 11-1230. Sick day.
Ok day of skiing

They really groomed the crap out of the lower mountain today. Surprisingly good grooming for Alpy too. Nash was some of the best packed powder I’ve seen in a while and lines weren’t bad at all despite full lots. Fine day indeed.
Forecast for this week is looking rough. We need to get it while it's good. NOAA is calling for 3" of rain on Monday. With freezing levels between 4500-6500 most of the week. Oof!
Concur with above. Couple laps of ski by feel on the padded in the PM then lower mountain. Good chalky crumbly bumps and solid groom. Vroom vroom. Tolerable crowds. More PM laps today. We shall see.
If the warmth holds up, may be a tiger/RR kind of week.
Solid PM. Sometimes hard to see, sometimes weird snow. Still 1000% awesome.
