I spoke to him a few times and he was sick. Cancer had a hold of him pretty badly and while he lived in Canada at the time was a US Vet and was headed back for treatments through the V.A. He was afraid that because he had left for a while his benefits may not have still been valid so I don't know what happened after that, he dropped off the radar.
Nobody was able to get into his laptop where all the video files were. He had done a pretty good job with his password security. At least that was the story at the time. I think the meltdown was due to his illness and being unsure of whether or not he was going to be able to receive sufficient treatments.

He’s got a rope toe up to Chad’s going this season.
To a sailor, that there is line.
What ever happened to Fae Wray?
Too much monkey business.

T.J. Jerk was something else.
When he first came on the board (Powderboard) he got pissed at my name, given that the producers of Aspen Extreme had stolen his life's story from him without crediting the 'real' T.J. (he was serious about this--I realized a little while later that years prior Powder had published two letters from him, and the editors had responded to him, about this claim). I don't think he ever got over the fact that I responded to him sarcastically.
The guy may or may not have been a marine.
He may or may not have had cancer.
He may or may not have been pursued by a Montreal biker gang in response to his exceptional softball prowess (again, I am not making this up).
I believe he did end up with Nils's laptop and AFAIK never completed the movie they had been working on. He didn't show up at the memorial service for reasons that were never clear.
One thing he did do is drive across Canada (in an Aztek) with gincognito. I was on a chairlift at Jay Peak with gin in the early 2000's and realized that he had spent a week or something living with T.J. in an Aztek. I asked him how it was and gin was evasive/politely Canadian. Realizing I wasn't going to get a direct answer, I finally asked, "Well, would you do it again?" His response was the quickest 'no' I have ever heard in my life.
He claimed to have served in both the Marines and the Army, didn't he? I miss Gincognito's posts. Great guy!

Aside from poor spelling and grammar, his aspen stories were entertaining.

His stories are lies, just like his posts.

TJBrk! That dude hasn't entered my brain in 10 years. He stayed with me on his tahoe trip back in the very beginning of my tgr time. He was nice enough but exhausting (he didn't ever shut up!).
Definite mental illness. Total pathological liar to the point where it was just sad and I felt bad for him. My bullshit meter lit up every time he opened his face...nothing made any sense ever.
I'm pretty sure he was faking cancer and his marine thing (and likely everything else) on account of his personality disorder. His 'chemo pills' didn't have a label and looked like vitamins

What ever happened to dingleberry? I miss that avatar.
