Yeah, not sure if these spots are worthy of destination because of their size. It's just nice for locals. They are not a Fort Rock or even a Stratham Hill.

The second half of this zone was raked (it's new so badly needed) and was just awesome. Still more work to be done! This pic is one of the many rocky sections. Of course with bad pic angles and just the fact that pics appear flat anyway, this section is actually pretty steep.

Another section that none of us cleared, we ended up coming upon a nest of two vultures (just confirmed what they were today) deep in the overhang of some rocks. The hissing sound they made was similar to a rattlesnake! It's time to reroute the trail as to not disturb them.
This popped up in a few places over the past few days, makes for exciting news! http://mountaintimes.info/news/featu...QcQUU.facebook
tl;dr Gravity logic is being hired to build out Killington's bike park. Biggins, you may find yourself with a new neighbor in a year or two!
Rode the Mineral Site Trail > Upper and Lower Stony Ridge > Tent Boulder Trail in Conway NH. Super fun loops Ill be hitting those trails again soon.

Can't say thats a bad thing, the east coast bike park scene seems far from saturated at this point.
That said, they're going to need to put in some serious time and money to develop a real park. Seems like gravity logic is brought into a lot of places, they build one or two trails, the management doesn't see the ROI and then they're let go. K-Mart needs to understand that an extensive trail network needs to be developed to make it a biking destination. Until then, highland will be the new england road trip destination.
^Ok, now that's an owl.
AmIRight?
100% agree. I see gravity logic's name pop up now and then and hope for something cool to come out of it, but seems to be that things play out the way you describe. Stowe apparently was talking with them too but haven't heard anything other than, "my cousin knows a guy at Stowe..."
Anybody ride down on the Cape? Rode Otis on Saturday, but didn't have a lot of time and really scratched the surface. Was really impressed with the trails, however, but think I could use someone to show me around.
If they didn't boot Rog he would have all kinds of beta on Cape rides. He grew up down there...next to the Joneses! ha!
i like Otis.
i was at Ascutney yesterday, i still can't get over how much work got done up there this spring.

It's gonna be a great stretch of weather this week, loving the long days that allow an easy evening ride.
Butta, there is no better network, i need to get down there when work slows down next month.
Sunrise ride again tomorrow, Patterson NY. Who's in? Leo? Scrubby? pm for deets...
Buddy's wedding today, going to be raucous. Definitely won't be in any kind of riding shape come sunrise. Have fun.
Ooh it's good out there right now. Just enough moisture left for it to be soft (ish) with all the traction you could ever want and no mud anywhere.
almost getting dusty up here, we could use some rain.
can't beat the weather right now, low dew points!
did a full day at Ascutney yesterday, no bugs!
17 miles of pure pleasure.
git sum.
Harold Parker was epic today. The low dew points and temps are key.
took the 24 year old slimChance out for stroll.

Saw a 300lb ish black bear on the trail Sat in Conway. Scared the shit out of me. I could hear something on the trail in front of me scurrying through the leaves I figured it was just a squirrel. Nope I caught up to sitting on the side of the trail with its back to me, kind of like it was trying to be still and hide. I rode pretty fast and did not crash luckily I was just about at the top of a long downhill.
