My son was pretty bummed to miss closing day at Killington, so after seeing all the snow on the webcam :rolleyes2, he decided to head up.
The snow patches looked much bigger on TV.

First real physical exertion in 7 weeks and I was hurting. The kid was pumped, so it was well worth it. Skiing (questionable use of the term) is still fun!
Powder days in June on the rock pile - Mount Washington, known for extreme weather, records its snowiest June https://www.wcax.com/2023/06/12/moun...snowiest-june/

PSA Blizzard Brahma 88 in 180 length with griffin bindings in South Burlington for $175. Notmy skis, but looks like a good deal and likely could find a local mag to help if you are from away.

just awful, not joking but will they have to declare a state of emergency and get fema down there? it's not irene yet but also not far off?
It looks like Irene level of destruction actually.
Forecast for several days has predicted Irene levels of rain and possible destruction, FEMA is already or will be on the way.
This one may surpass Irene by the time it's done. It is POURING again in the BB.
Oh no. I had no idea this was happening. Sucks. Hope everyone stays safe.
Yikes, conditions for flooding like this have been building for a few weeks. The ground is so saturated that everything that falls just runs off. Stay safe Vermonters. Unfortunately it looks like central/southern VT is again getting the worst of one of these "catastrophic flood" events.
Luckily here in most of the NEK, it has been a slow enough rain event that we've escaped the worst. However, if one of those big heavy slow moving cells wanders over the NEK in the next 12 hours, things could go sideways quickly. Rivers and streams are very full. add another 1-2 inches and some low lying towns are going to have big problems.
