The fucking shitty anticipatory autocorrect is the bane of my digital existence
I've watched videos where AI experts are discussing AI as an existential threat, and wondered, since AI trains on the internet, aren't they just seeding the outcome they claim to want to avoid?

Well certainly, however an intelligence would likely distinguish between sci-fi, and those very entities which contributed to its existence, especially when those entities are calling for controls on its growth and self determination.

Somebody should make a film about Claude Shannon. Make it a companion film to The Imitation Game since him and Turing were contemporaries.
In other news, it is pretty amazing how fast things are progressing. I work a lot with Snowflake as a data platform. Beginning of this summer to do natural language analytics on private company data, I would have had to do all sorts of back end engineering and creating of configuration files and coding chat-bot apps. Now I can create an agent in less than 20 minutes that can do analysis on company data, create charts, draft out a sales campaign based on analysis, and draft and send out emails. The data analytics team is basically having their job change in a couple of months from "create reports with pretty charts for people" to "create and curate AI agents that can do all of that on-demand".
