Well from a power conference true. Cincinnati and UCF have had undefeated regular seasons and been left out of the dance. Cinci lost their bowl, I think UCF may have won theirs.

Ryan Day calling out the reanimated corpse of Lou Holtz post game was hilarious
Very hard to tell who is legit and who is faking it this early with soft early seasons schedules. Utah and UW look legit with USC being a bit questionable on defense. There will be serious in league cannibalism as the PAC 12 gets put out to pasture.
Oregon needs to have better discipline moving forward, all those stupid penalties vs. CU would have killed them against a better team.
I guess Joe Milton is out of consideration for the Heisman.
How can he be so inconsistent?
That was fucking killing me during the game. I knew CU was unlikely to win but had hoped for at least a respectable showing and when the defense couldn't capitalize on the opportunities Oregon gave them, it was painful. CU's offensive line is in for a long season but the fact that their defense had zero answer for anything Oregon did and couldn't capitalize on their mistakes is very troubling. It's going to take more than just Shedeur and Hunter to get to a winning record this season.
Prime has helped create culture and expectations but you can't create enough depth in one recruiting season to be a real contender. He's a master promoter that created an incredible national narrative for a 3-0, only quality win was against NOW unranked TCU and almost losing to a FCS level CSU. Way too many people drank the cool aide when CU showed who they really are against CSU. Prime is off to a great start but they need another season ore two to really be solid in FBS competition.
I see UC and USC as a no defense track meet that USC wins but doesn't beat the spread..
College GameDay will be less than 2 miles from my house this Saturday. I have to swallow a little vomit and take Notre Dame. We'll never hear the end of it around here if DOOK beats them..
Lanning's job is to motivate his team and he's going to do whatever it takes to do that, just like any other coach.
The Buffs decided to grind up the O before the game and there is plenty of footage of Shiloh Sanders talking shit to the Oregon bench early in the game and running his mouth there after.
If you're an Oregon player (or coach), you're going to respond. In Shiloh's case, he got trucked and ended up pissing blood. As Yahoo Sports said, "Shiloh messed around and found out."
I'm happy for CU and what Deion is doing there but it would appear their players might have over served on the koolaid. Any rebuild takes time.

Mark Stoops asked if the Florida game being a Noon kickoff will affect Kentucky's crowd from being a factor on Saturday:
“I have great confidence in the people of Kentucky that can get up very early and pound some beers.
"Why would you disrespect this great state & people?"
OU Texas is an 11am kickoff. It was brutal as a student there traveling to Dallas. Partying til 2am then having to head to the fairgrounds to park and enter the state fair gates and grab food and drink before that game. My kid has no problem with getting up at 6am to do that. He'll stay a few hours after to enjoy the fair stuff too. But he doesnt.... drink
As the former Defensive Coordinator at Georgia I wonder if Lanning’s newly minted attitude adjustment and confidence comes in part from Georgia and Alabama struggling? I think anyone in the top 10 has a legitimate shot this year. A lot of Georgia fans assume this will be a 1 or 2 loss season. Soft scheduling turns this week into a snoozer. Not a single top 10 matchup. Conferences be damned what we need is leadership from the NCAA and some limitations on scheduling non-competitive games. Bulldawgs maybe the best example in a soft SEC this year. FTR, this is the worst I can remember the SEC being in my lifetime.
I don’t disagree with any of that, except that an inferior team should be treated as such. Act like you’ve won a game before. It was clear that Lanning was shitting bricks.

It's all good. Call off the contract on Blackburn.

Clearly you have never been around too many coaches or even Uber competitive people. They take any sign of a slight and use it to their advantage regardless of the ranking or talent gap. Lanning always looks like he's going to blow a valve or an artery. The guy runs around practice tearing his shirt off swinging his dad bod around to try and fire up guys.
He just had 100X the normal attention due to the Prime hype machine. I can't argue the fact there probably was a bit more extra effort from the whole team, both players and coaches due to the fact a mediocre 3-0 team was getting all the spotlight when they were a 21 point under dog.
Buffs aren't going to beat the spread today......
Breaking ESPN news.. Sanders brothers hit Transfer Portal out of CU... Well not really but would be a hilarious Onion spoof.
QB Sanders is making more money than he'll make in the NFL right now. He'll stay another year unless he's a projected top 10 pick which he will not be after the next few games. No way he can make enough noise away from pops to come close to making the NIL payday at CU.
Well, Buffs are trying to make a comeback. Maybe I was wrong about the spread.
Those CU kids had some fight in themselves today.

Not a hudge ND fan but they do keep it interesting. And fuck Duke anyways.
USC isn't elite. Their offense? For sure. But you have to have at least a passable defense to be a top 10 team and so far their defense has been consistently trash. I wouldn't be surprised if they lose three games this season.

Hard to imagine a more nightmarish ending for the Dookies. Hope Leonard is alright

FWIW, Shadeur would have to be a Top 5 pick to earn what he is earing at CU right now(internet says $5mil). I dont think he would risk another year of college ball and a down year that plummets his draft stock and path to the NFL if he keeps balling. And make no mistake, he is fucking balling right now... and doing it behind a dogshit offensive line.
That's a great point about striking while the iron is hot. Lot of college players have stayed for one more year after a great season only to have a down year or have an injury that costs them millions. No doubt about his awesome numbers, I just can't tell if he's a high level NFL prospect due to the mostly shitty defense CU has seen so far. Against Oregon's decent D he looked very ordinary with exception of ONE drive and the other 4 opponents have been plain awful but his completion rate is through the roof for the season.
Well, Oklahoma finally has an opponent that can't be considered a "cupcake" yet. TexASS has a more experienced team for obvious reasons.. But the Sooners have a little depth this season so it should at least be "fun". I'm hoping to see the shorthorns in the Big 12 Championship game December regardless of how this Saturday turns out. Always hoping for that Sooner Magic to push Oklahoma over what's a better team on paper.
My kid will be there. I shortsightedly scheduled my COVID booster at 4pm east coast time so I'll probably be in CVS looking at my phone as this one winds down.
I do want to see Texas do well rest of the season.. A) because I did my grad school work in the UT system.. B) because I want to see Texas and Oklahoma to finish as the top 2 Big12 team leaving with forever bragging rights hahahahaha..
Do Huskies fans refer to themselves as Dawgs? That's almost as annoying as Miami co-opting "The U" from Utah.
85 Utes get a new truck (lease) for playing football on scholarship.
