Never seen that edition, what's up with it? I love that green accent on the grey. And why's it called a Spyder when it's a hardtop?
Stfu; Porsche has figured out what you're looking for and they made it. It's called the 911R.

Jeesuz christ, can you guys go over to the Porsche forums and ejaculate over there?
Yep. 991R is the epitome of a modern 911.
Edition 918 Spyder was an add on when you ordered your 918 Spyder. Hence the Spyder on the door. It was a box you checked basically. "Yep... Ill take the 200k Turbo S too."
Only 918 Customers have them. Acid Green calipers and accents. Single side intakes.
I actually had a customer that ordered 3 918s, and he wanted a 991 "edition 918 Spyder" and Porsche would not do it. lol. It's stickers and some paint.
I'm on em.
I've acknowledged that the modern cars are good cars, and that Porsche should continue to build better cars. From a style perspective, Porsche has been lazy af. The 991R is a cool car, and certainly a great version of the 991. But not only isn't it in any way similar to a traditional 911, it's unattainability makes it an instant museum piece, far more so than any 993C2.
The 991 is a phenomenal car in its own right. No reason to try to say its something it isn't.

...is this promising or am I still missing the part about the engine is on borrowed time?sounds like the problems were recognized and handled essentially. I'm under the impression that it was the IMS failure that blew the engines. Is it still likely that in 4K miles Pistons, rings, and gaskets all explode?
Did you ask him, why he is selling?
Take it to a Porsche store and get a PPI.
Kid on the way. Still will do a PPI if I pick it up. Gotta go get an AC unit, so the Navigator lives another day.
This on the other hand...

Neighbor has one of those clownshoe Z3M coupes, says he gets offers to buy it every week.
Last page was discussion about the Golf R and a S5. I just posted a 458 Speciale.
guroo: Find a S2000 and buy that.
There's definitely a niche market for those z3m's.
Not a huge fan of slammed cars but you could literally eat off any part of this car. Clean as fuck. Kid I know through some friends owns this:

Welcome to fucking Kansas...http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...d8f4927235.jpg
That would really communicate an effective message in 4XL.
i think you said merriam in anther thread? aristocrat motors? seen alot of good cars in that place. lived in the area years ago when I had no choice as a teenager. torn label brewing is pretty good for a cold one down in crossroads district.
if driving back through ks, stop at the chef in mahattan, ks. good breakfast and lunch.
Good looking hot hatch, clean without the boy-racer flair. Got any interior pics? Is it a GTI or R32, I can't recall? (Also, what's the difference b/t those two if any VW fanboi wants to chime in. )
The Golf R is the replacement of the R32. I'm dying to get just the GTI. I scared the shit out of the sales guy in one (don't worry, I've had professional training), and it just seemed pretty perfect. My girlfriend makes fun of me because I drive slowly now as I'm just not in a hurry, no fun roads, and I drive a navigator, but we got out of that test ride and was like, "WTF was that?" She drives 100 on the freeway.
Awesome pick up. I love the contrast in that car with white, but that's very sleek and undetectable sans laser.
My dad just got rid of his GTI in the exact trim I wanted for an A3. He says the A3 is an okay car, but that he just kinda connected with the GTI and he's going back to get another. That's coming from a guy that owned in succession: 88 targa, 98 carrera S (in silver, named GORT), a 745i, Jetta, leaf, then the GTI. While of course we would both just pick the 98 over the 88 if we ain't payin', the 88 was both of our favorites. There's just something about taking an 88 to the track and railing on it with reckless abandon (it also just has a more visceral, no computer-all mechanic feel to it), as opposed to taking a $90k (not sure what they are now) car into a turn at full clip thinking, meeeeeehhhhh, this might be too fast. I know, cool story bro.
Always wanted the white GTI, plaid interior, red stitches... Just feels perfect to me. License plate - STMTRPR and not because of the Darth ad.
Fun car. Nice interior. Looked at an s5 here too... nicer car.. lol. I love cars. Bummed I have to drive this back on i70. I'll get a couple of interior pics.
may be a retarted question but I thought that S5 is being shipped to Denver?
Cool pics. I too am not a fan of slammed cars and I don't understand the whole 'stance' culture but I'm also in my 30s and an ardent fan of everything stock. That said that kid's M Coupe looks pretty sweet, now he's just got to raise it a couple inches, he can even keep the rims.
I'm reminded of a conversation between Clarkson and Hammond:
JC: I see your 325 has been lowered
RH: Yes, for a sportier feel
JC: Lowered is just another way of saying, what is it?
RH: That it's been ruined.
Getting a p car education here. Never really been a fan but still enjoying what's being discussed .
I recall buying 2 Porsches from older guy on Long Island about 8 years ago. Both his original cars driven daily with miles. I think a 78 911sc that was pretty ratty, and , wait for it, 84 930 coupe. Both cars bought for 17k. Split ways with partner left both cars on floor. Smacks forehead.
Anyone have an extra $190k I can borrow?

Thought this was pretty funny. The suit is horseshit but it's pretty tough to claim the dude doesn't have the resume to expect some decent treatment.

My wife has an S5 with the V6. I really like the car, and I particularly like that motor. She had a V8 S4 before it. I like the V6 in the S5 better.
We also have an SQ5 with a slightly more powerful version of the V6, and I don't particularly like it in that car. That may be because I don't really like the SQ5.
Interesting - thanks very much for that perspective. As a big fan of the 4.2, it hadn't occurred to me that anyone would feel that way, but I will find one to drive somewhere to see for myself. Not familiar with that setup.
Do you know if they offered the S5 with the v6 and 6 spd manual?
Pretty sure the V6 S5 coupe has a manual.
Or you could go this route.

Audi's new(ish) supercharged V6 is a beast. I like the sound of the V8 better but the V6 feels faster.
Here you go stfu:
Bidding ends in 3 hours and it's in your price range.

Shit, if I had an extra $50k laying around I'd be tempted to scoop this one up. It may not be concours ready, but it's damn close.
Ooooh, dibs!

I wonder what kind of a pain it would be to title and import a CDN car and how relatively annoying the metric clusters would be day to day?
This one is likely to sell under $50k and has some nice mods.

remember, the goal here is to give stfu as much heart burn as possible while buying the newer Audi. We need to make him feel like he's making an awful decision ;)
dayumn, productive week for the addicts. Congrats delco!
Ok,
My 2007 Solstice GXP with 21,000 miles.
I realize and cede fully that its got nothing on a 911, many beemers and some Mercedes convertibles; but I drove those and liked it best. it's not the fastest by a longshot but it's quick, sounds great and I like the looks.
