I love my Meidjos (v1.2, v2.0, & v2.1) but 13 holes is really a little absurd.
All 22D bindings share the same hole pattern, so if you're on them now, and as long as the holes in your skis are good (and they probably are), it's just a matter of unscrewing your Axl/Vice/Hammerhead, and screwing in the Lynx/Outlaw. The Lynx certainly has a little bit of assembly required after mounting the toe base, but you can fully assemble the binding without mounting it if you want to try out the process.Quote:

If you are remounting old holes in paulownia or other soft-core ;) skis, inserts will probably be a lot stronger than reusing the old threads. Also if you go with a Lynx, adjusting the spring tension is a lot easier if you've mounted with inserts and can take the whole binding off.Quote:

Thanks for the info, everyone. Andy M, you nailed it. The bishop plates look interesting and I was wondering about that. It also seems that 22d is the hot new shit….although Peruvian loves his meidjos.

I was on 22D for years (Axl and Vice) and was bummed to leave the brand, but wanted a bomber (no pun intended) binding with true step in. Bishops are as close to an alpine step-in as telemark will likely ever get. And are compatible with both 75mm and NTN which is awesome if you love your duckbills.Quote:

I took these woodsman 108 182cm out for the first time in powder- 20” Alta yesterday. They skied great in virtually all conditions. Handle the crud no problem, predictable and VERY QUICK to turn in soft sporadic bumps and crud and floated nicely through the powder. if anything they are a bit too short for me at 180lbs. They ski very similarly to my Ripstick 106 180 cm. Gonna hold onto these and the Ripstick for a while to see which I prefer. Also will keep my eye out for a longer ON3P.

Thats what I use them for. V6 BC with 3 pin cable. The recommended mount point on the 183cm seems to be too far forward which has come up in some other threads here. Worth some attention if you get that size.Quote:

Thanks for the feedback on the Woodsman, and sweet boards! I have the Wren 108 with Outlaws but found them too directional. May put alpine bindings on them and let my son have them as he is a charger. I was debating getting Woodsman 102 as a DD (Big Sky) but hadn't heard tele specific feedback so I ordered the DW 104. Still have Steeples and BGs in the ON3P stable though.
