Naw, today was marked for Spatulation, the "stainless skinnies" are for variable conditions.
Sounds like a good gig you got, but I thought you were in SoCal.

woot woot, 34 and snowing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, all this charging in a mad race for the sickness is getting rough on the body. Stupid telemarking.
love the greybird!!!!! look at all the elk on top of Jumbo.:)
from april fool's.
Noice T,
Beavertail mafia was not pleased that day with the crowds eating up "their" mountain.
Thank's for sharing. I liked the outrun into the WTF :eek:moment seeing the lift line.
Beavertail mafia, heh that's funny. And awesome vid, nice turns. I like you bypassing the line to show the pup some love.
I snowboarded bell to bell on sunday and wednesday (over 30,000 vert both days) and skiied thursday and friday - today I'm riding the couch!
Tomorrow will see a coin-toss.
24" at LT today. It stayed cold until around 2:30.
Shit got sent. It was fucking awesome. Thus ends my llift served skiing this year.
See you on the river.
It was greybird until after lunch, which was clutch. Hollywood was pretty much in superstar mode. I was shocked and impressed with the coverage. Bombholes were made in the most perfect bombhole making snow imaginable. There is no photographic evidence.
It was not crowded.
Any other missoula mags going up for closing day tomorrow? Weather looks like it might be nice, and there's a good chance that we'll be setting up a gelande quaffing table in the parking lot.
Feel free to stop by and partake in a few rounds of quaffing. For those of you who haven't met me, I'll be the drunk one.
I am heading up for sure. I'll be in the parking lot probably handling large amounts of raw meat in a ridiculous race suit. I will be on the look out for the quaffing! I imagine tomorrow will be a total shit show with plenty of delicious corn to go around. Hell tomorrow is going to be so great I'll be double fisting super g turns.
After skiing yesterday slop, I would highly recommend double fisting double Jack and Cokes. Don't get me wrong I had a few good turns (mostly on up top, Angel Face and Chicken) but the rest was, well......super mashers. Take some quaffing pics!
Rallied today and it was wildly variable. Deep, untracked, and sticky. better where it had been skiied.
AND then . . . . THUNDERSNOW!!!! they closed the lifts while it blew threw. It was snowing larger-than-pea-size, but less-dense-than-ice groppel with thunder booming all around. And then it changed to 1-2 inch fluff flake that made us feel like we were gonna get another foot of fresh and then it ended. Chairs ran again, we skiied and boarded on with open containers, pizzas were made and eaten, pretty par for a saturday really.
hialtitude, acheiver, and me will be there along with a bunch of non mags. i've got a shot-ski. looks like a nice day. should be real fun.
I'll be there today, and be quite obvious (I'll be in white). There's gonna be the usual kegger/bonfire at the triple J ranch (Turstenjack's) later on, untill the wee hours.
A little belated, but what the hell... A few closing day pics.
I told myself I wouldn't start drinking until at least noon. With that in mind, I managed to hold out until 10:15. The Gelande Quaffing table got put into use by around 11:00, which meant that I was pretty drunk by 1ish. We toughed it out and maintained the buzz well into the evening, but now my sweet one piece is sticky and covered in dried beer.
One of many pre-noon quafs:

There're freshies in them thar hills.
lookout pass opens on friday. not super exciting, but its a start.
relatively exciting, though. any idea how much terrain will be open?
just the front side chair.

lookout was solid today. i think it was my earliest lift serve day ever.
i love the mix of uber steeze and hunting gear, that only lookout offers up.
lookout just got a bunch of snow it looks like.
Im lookin to head basically anywhere thursday or more likely friday (i sorta have thanksgiving plans but they could be put on hold for freshies). Anyone have an idea of what will be the best option?? only ones I even know of that will be open are look out and big sky. big sky is a trek but i could maybe work in a bozeman visit for a night.
The t bar is open this weekend! RAD.
Against my better judgement I might go just to pick up my pass so I'll have it if/when it ever snows.
THE FUCKING SUNRISE BOWL!!!!!! IT'S ON BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
or i suppose the 4" rule at Lookout might in effect.
IT'S KINDA SORTA NOT REALLY ON BITCHES!!!
FYI Rootski, the t-bar has an average pitch of 23 degrees!
It's a training day, one or two dozen laps to shake off the rust.
Did they actually manage to open on time this year, or did ski patrol sleep in like last year's 11:00 opening?
the forecasted windchills and a lot of work coming into the final stretch of the semester are keeping me from going anywhere tomorrow. :(
I remember noon last year...but far more importantly...
ALTHOUGH UNCERTAINTY STILL EXISTS...MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW IS
BECOMING MORE POSSIBLE SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO SUNDAY NIGHT AS AN
ARCTIC FRONT MAY SHIFT WESTWARD ACROSS THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE AND
STALL SUNDAY. MEANWHILE AN APPROACHING PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM IS
EXPECTED TO SPREAD SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF MOISTURE OVER THIS
ARCTIC FRONT AND SUPPORT A PROLONGED PERIOD OF MODERATE TO HEAVY
SNOW IN BOTH VALLEYS AND MOUNTAINS.
Deer&elk were down low and together at sunset. New studded snows on work rig ,this afternoon. SOOOOOO.......will it please snow!
I guess we could get a foot over the weekend. I'm thinking of checking out lookout on monday.
Looks Like it's puking right now at the Div. 1 championship game on ESPN!
2mins left tied game at 17pts, grizz charging past the 50yd line
been a great game and looks like it would be a blast to be there, GO GRIZZ!*
*I got more connections to the Bobcats, but they kinda suck at the game of football:fm:
GO GRIZ!
Tonight's game was impressive. The weather alone was fun to watch, I have to think that helped us tonight. Appl. state was looking good.
Best rope tow day - Ever!!!!!!!- then pizza& beer! Thanks and prayez!!!!
