I can smell the wood stoves now :)

I was stoopid at one point a long time ago also. Didn't have the right gear and would burn holes thru my jeans at the knee. The transition back to dirt was so nice and then the final commitment to mtb was the best! ...but I still seem to break myself
Took the MSF course and started riding for the first time this fall (roads, not dirt, yet). What a way to commute to work! Hopefully I can find a bike I can afford this winter.

That's awesome, I LOVED taking rider training courses. You can always tell which instructor to listen to the most by the giant roll of rubber on the edge of their tires haha
Next summer I will be able to commute to work in my kayak. REALLY looking forward to that!
now that would be a cool commute!
1st somewhat chilly commute for me this am on the bicycle. wore the winter cycling jacket and tights. way overdressed for low 30's. mid 20's and colder and that gear will be comfy.
gorgeous day. k must be blowing big loads right now:)

my best commute was a ski down and skin back home. don't ask why I left.
top o page stoke/tunage brought to you by an early adopter of pov footage...the man himself....laser. and of course some direction by LH. One of my best first days of the season by far.

It's above a dam so it's all flat water and actually almost disappointingly close.
Saw the biggest snapping turtle possibly anywhere ever in that section though, so no noodling for me ;) Never sitting at that damn bridge light again though... I might give a finger for that haha
Hiked up Madonna to lick mansfield's taint this morning. Some nice coverage up high on a few slopes, coulda used my gators hiking thru some of the deeper stuff.

I believe they're water constrained this week, not cold constrained. Sunday River, Bull Branch and the ground nearby are all wicked dry, and their's no Denver water board for the COO to trade his soul for water too. Shelly's shot from yesterday shows very little progress around the base area.
With the warm front and a half inch or so of rain, I'd just harden up upper Locke and capture all the water I can for Sunday and Monday nights.
ya i was shocked to see them trying to blow down low with the heatwave and hot rain on the way. press the reset on george so it looks. gonna try to hit the riv on the sunday or monday the 17th/18th of nov for the 1st gym day. unless there's good surf, of course. surf should be fun this weekend.

Free skiing at Bretton Woods today. One trail off the quad. Went up there for about an hour this morning and it was decent enough, plenty of snow and no walking or downloading. Not sure how late they're running the lift but if anyone has the afternoon off it might be worth rallying up there.
^^ It's ok, without snowtires Rog will be using less gas than those of us who roll with snows ;)
Way late to the party . . .
One more month until I am cleared for full activity. My grade 2 mcl tear last january turned out to be a completely torn mcl and acl, small meniscus tear, and a tibial plateau fracture. major misdiagnosis to say the least. crushing pt in the meantime. looking forward to the season.
