Like "the aristocrats" joke only worse.
I have heard that Florida's laws make it very easy for the media to get information from law enforcement, much easier than other states. I would like to thank Florida for this wonderful window into its dysfunctional self.

A DRUG dealer was arrested when he allegedly called police after believing his cocaine had been stolen from his car.
The Mail Online reports that David Blackmon, 32, of Florida called the police on Sunday morning saying he had cocaine and cash taken from his car.
Blackmon even reportedly identified himself as a drug dealer and said that $US50 and a quarter ounce of cocaine had been taken from his car.
But when police arrived they found the drugs by the driver’s door, where Blackmon said he last had it, along with a crack pipe.
Blackmon was arrested when he refused to follow police commands.
He is charged with possession of cocaine, resisting arrest without violence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Once upon a time a job brought me to Florida. Ended up quitting and working as a firefighter/medic for 7 years in Pasco County. While it’s a fucked up state that county leaned heavily towards the inbred whiskey tango population. They’re frequently featured on Live PD now. I saw enough weird fucked up things to last me a lifetime.

Exploding vape pen killed Florida man, autopsy report says
Quote:
Blast sent fragments into the man's cranium and started a fire that burned 80% of his body.
According to an autopsy report released Tuesday, an exploding vape pen was responsible for the death of Tallmadge D'Elia, 38, in St. Petersburg, Fla., earlier this month. (Nam Y. Huh/Associated Press)
An exploding vape pen hurled fragments into a Florida man's head, killing him and starting a fire that burned most of his body, an autopsy report said.
The Pinellas-Pasco medical examiner's autopsy report released Tuesday confirms the vape pen was responsible for the May 5 death of Tallmadge D'Elia, 38, in St. Petersburg.
Such accidents aren't unheard of: According to a U.S. Fire Administration report, at least 195 electronic cigarettes exploded or caught fire from 2009 to 2016, and while no deaths were recorded in that time, the explosions caused 133 injuries, 38 of them severe.
'Projectile wound' to the head
Firefighters found D'Elia inside his burning home, the Tampa Bay Times reported. Officials found "extensive" fire damage in D'Elia's bedroom, where his body was found, but minimal smoke, the report said.
The explosion sent two pieces of the vape pen into D'Elia's cranium, the autopsy found. The report listed the cause of death as "projectile wound of the head." He also suffered burns on about 80 per cent of his body. The death was ruled an accident.
The vape was manufactured by the Philippines-based Smok-E Mountain. A company representative told WFTS news that its devices do not explode. The representative said it was likely an atomizer — the part a person inserts into their mouth — or a battery.
The representative said the company has had problems with other companies cloning its batteries, which makes them less safe. The company wanted to see photos of the device that was used by D'Elia.
The Food and Drug Administration has said it's not clear what causes some vape pens to explode, but it could stem from battery-related issues.
