Nobody has gotten around to naming them yet, they're just the start of some beginner run.
The line on the left of the pic is one of 666's favorites. So we'll let him name it. It's in between Little Jim's proper and Ski School chute. The second one from the left is just looker's right of Little Jim's. The other two have names that I'm forgetting right now. And that big sucker to the right of the rightmost line is Big Jim's. Some crazy asshole aired that damn thing with speed in "the Swarm."
I named some of the lines and re-uploaded the pic.
Left to right:
First line is Eraser Chute. Just to out of view to looker's left of this line is a mellower little chute called Ski School Chute. It's called Eraser chute to keep with the theme of its Ski School neighbor, but because this line is always very chocolate chippy & exposed, pretty darned steep....you get erased if you F up :D.
Next over is Little Jim's. Kinda hard to land exactly where you drew it though. People generally land much closer to the rocks. People either make one hop turn onto the little snow shelf above the rocks before dropping, or sometimes people just air the whole thing. I've seen people literally get pushed by their friends when trying to air the whole thing because its tough to get any speed at the top.
Next huck over is Slim Jim's. So called because it's in the middle of Big and Little Jim's and well, just look at it...it's slim :D. It's usually un-doable early season because the take off at the top is usually all rock, but it fills in soon enough. Super flat landing, unless you drop very close to the rocks. Someone hucks this in last year's Omen Productions movie Ah-mig-dah-la.
I don't know the names of the two lines to the left and right of Slim Jim's...I just hear people refer to both of these collecitvely as the Jim Chutes....but they might have their own names...I'm not sure.
And lastly, the biggest hunk of rock on the right is Big Jim's. Our own skier666 hucks this in spring mush in the Swarm after skating along the traverse on top and just launched. He's not right in the head. Most people just wait for about a 3 feet storm and acid drop the fugger to hot-tub landing.
Fun area because the lines are short and there's a clean runout with little consequence if you fall. Plus there's lots of variations in here.
Anyone know who the hell this "Jim" guy was?

by Febuary, the rightmost two fill in enough that they're a non-issue.
Yeah, but they can be fun early season with or without turns. Got a couple of good runs out of them Oct 30 and Nov 27.Quote:

Jeebus. I've seen that line in person, and wouldn't want to touch it no matter how much snow there was, nor how soft.Quote:

Punani
Champ picture. When is it from?
....Those names are funny, I've skied there my whole life and never heard of "Eraser Chute"....but it makes damn sense with your editorial on it. It also turns into a cliff with more snow...edit...it gets erased. I'll look for some pics when I get home. :)
Ski School, I call it over hang chute. All the others, I just call it Big Jims area.
There is another chute you can't see from the pic that is pretty fun...usually a straight line with an ollie in the middle....never heard a name before.
And then of-course Upper Cham..which is cut-off in the extreme left-hand corner of the pic:
http://www.vidbusters.com/~casey/Oct...ham_closea.jpg
....into Lower Cham...which is blocked by "Skier's Right of Lower Cham"...or "Upper Oops and Poops"....
Here's a view looking from Jims:

Fucking fun area to ski....north facing, never gets sun until late spring, accessed by a quad but gets rarely skied...technical fun shit.
But don't forget the BC....
Thunder Bowl:

I’ll let SP give the official date and details, but I think the pic was snapped 3 or 4 years after a truly epic storm cycle… 6 of 8 feet or something like that.Quote:

OK...found some pics for your viewing pleasure.

I don't want to argue too much about this, but it seems like there are pictures of two different eraser faces here... The pictures Vets posted look like they are in the same location as in Tyrone's pictures, but the one from Skier666 looks like something completely different. Whatever, cool pictures, gotta make sure to check out the spots next time.
Same area...I'm airing just looker's right of it.
If you look closely, you will see the chocolate chips barely sticking out of the snow...and Ski School chute is buried by the snow...its gone.
I get it if the second picture is eraser face...
In his first pic, Eraser Face is about 5 feet to the left. In other words, he's inbetween Eraser Face and Little Jim's. That must have been a sick year. I've seen Ski School fill up a lot, but that...
I don't like the name eraser face. I'm calling it "right of Jim's before ski school" and urge others to do the same.
Stop the overzealous naming! That or we should come up with a completely arbitrary number system where that will be line R27.
actually, it's "right of Jim's, but after ski school". don't make me come up there on one leg to show you the lines ;)Quote:

Fine. "Right past ski school, before Jim's, the steep part with rocks and shit that you can actually ski before it just becomes a big huck"
Fuck that, it's R27 now.
Hmmmm....I kinda like calling it "the steep part with rocks and shit.".Quote:

You can call it whatever you want, everyone at Kirkwood has their own trail map.Quote:

I have no idea what anything is called in the lower cirque. But there are some cool cliffs there.
Please make it stop. This is like descibing "Tremans/One Man/Boulder Narrows/whofucking cares" or "Hell's Delight/Hell's Staircase/Devil's Delight/Devil's Staircase/why doesn't patrol put out their map." Just ski it damnit!!!
I tell you what though, I'm going to call Eraser Face "You're all a bunch of slackjawed faggots because you didn't huck Little Jim's instead." :D
Arty’s Bomb Hole is the new name for Heart Chute.
I thought Arty's line is called "Girly Man's"Quote:

Just in the last two weeks I have heard soooooo many names for the same crap. Skiin' Ian told me that he tore some cartilage on his knee on "ABC cliff" When he said ABC chute, I told him "WTF is that", why can't people just say the cliff next to Waterfall?
Funny that you mention that. Sunday night I was enjoying a beverage at Steamers and chatting with the bartender. We were discussing mtb/skiing carnage, and I mentioned my little episode. He said his friend did Heart last year and said the landing sucked because there was a huge bombhole. I asked when, and he said the end of February during that huge storm. I told him to pass my apologizes on to his friend because that was my body imprint he landed in.Quote:
