Just got a used pair of bindings in the mail and while inspecting them I noticed this:

They're missing a metal pin at the bottom. Is this a big deal?
Also the afd is connected to the two toes in different ways. One toe has the afd resting on top of the toepiece assembly, the other has the toepiece tucked into the slot of the afd. I realize that this description lacks for detail so below is a picture of what I'm writing about.

The binding on the left is the tucked version. You can see the metal piece that tucks into the afd circled in the photo. For the binding on the right, the afd rests atop this metal piece. Which way is correct?

the binding on the right is correct....... I take the pins out
but your local shop should have a few spare ones
and make sure the little metal wings slide into their slots on the plastic base

I think you'll find the difference is a result from the missing pin - it works like a spring holding up the AFD.

So I asked around some shops in the N. Tahoe area with no luck. Anyone have an extra baseplate they could send me?
They're probably fine to mount missing the spring but I'd like it just the same.
