I knew nothing about it, but I suspected it got some media somewhere, as I sold a bunch of copies. Maybe eventually I'll break 5 cents an hour on it.;)
Follow up? Uh, Peru?
Let's do it.
We need to fire up the marketing machine, and find folks who would appreciate the exposure.
(And yes, I am airing this here on purpose).
No reason not to try hard, I reckon'.
BTW, they gave it a GREAT review.
Excellent.
where is this write-up? I'm interested as TH has the sickest TRs with pics and vids. I still watch the April Powder Day in HD all the time (love the soundtrack)
It is in the latest issue of 'Backcountry' Mag.
And yes, there is HUGE snowboard/splitboard representation in this issue!
You gotta read it...many quotable quotes.
Superb.
(and those of you looking to start a BC/ board flamewar out of this...give it a rest. We are ALL here to just enjoy pow. Nothing more, nothing less. Let's focus on Trackhead's achievements, por favor...which are stupendous so far. )
Unrelated to the Backcountry Magazine article which I have not seen, I stumbled across the clip yesterday and it was good. I liked the guy who stated the three things in life he loved and that he wanted to build his life around them. So simple that it actually makes perfect sense. :)
[Rideit, I dont disagree with you, but A contradicts B:
A = yes, there is HUGE snowboard/splitboard representation in this issue!
B = We are ALL here to just enjoy pow. Nothing more, nothing less. Let's focus on Trackhead's achievements
If B, then why say A in the first place?]
everyone i showed loved it! thanks stash!
As always, trackhead's acheivements and everything else on this board from the vids and pics to his generosity are always valued. If you have yet to get out with him, i highly recommend trying to...especially if you can keep up;)
Always a great attitude and great day. It really shows through his vids.
I have a copy at my house to, I think you use to live in my room TH or one of your friend.
yeah the video is rally cool and kinda of comical in the old days.
"They were able to win th race with the distinct advantagne to turn thier skis"
what ever happened to that pmgear documentary you were making?
I lived on the upper floor, middle room.
It was a constant flux of new room mates, some good, some psycho. When I briefly lived there alone, I came home one day to find some random guy sitting on the couch, drinking my beer. He was the unannounced new house mate who was apparently thirsty, and proceeded to drink an aweful lot of my hard earned beer.
Sue and Larry are great folks with a very nice lifestyle.
You might want to change your profile location to "Mouth of Bells Canyon".
lol yeah we had a psycho roomate last winter.
Luckly for me and everyone everyone gets along and everyone is staying there right now.
Congrats TH, I will have to pick up a copy...
Pffft - we all know only write-ups in SKIING Magazine count these days... ;)
Congrats, TH. Well deserved praise for one hard working and talented newcomer.
I haven't seen the writeup but congrats anyway cause i know how hard you worked on it. we're lucky you didn't get completely burnt out and still entertain the idea of a follow up.
Peru? Can I come?
Posted this elsewhere, but will do it again...
I took the vidi up to some old timers (70-80 yo crew) in pinedale late this summer, they watched it the first night I stayed with them, and took it over to their neighbor's house (Monty Skinner) the next night and watched it again, and they gave it rave reviews over there too. I didn't even think they could run a DVD player... But I guess if they figured out how to run the teton, a DVD is simple...
