Fuji S2 Pro vs. Canon SD1000 (yes, that's right its one of those threads)
Ok, so I got a great deal on an S2 Pro a few months ago. 4k clicks, everything brand new. I've been using it a fair bit lately shooting stuff in the city with a 28-80 Nikkor lens. The lens is ok, and the camera is pretty snappy -- does what its supposed to and then some. But something happened the other night that caused me to question... I was looking at some shots from my friends point and shoot cybershot 7.1MP and they looked DAMN good. We also watched some video he shot on the camera and it too looked amazing on my friends 31" television screen. So I started wondering what I'm giving up if I move to a small point and shoot like the SD1000 because as much as I like having photographic control the thing is a bit of a beast to lug around.
I realize these are fairly disparate choices but I'm starting to wonder if I ought to sell the S2 and just go point and shoot. (No, I'm not going to be putting thousands of dollars of lenses on it, was looking at a plastic fantastic for it and possibly an 85mm prime too, but thats about it).
