Top of the King at Crystal. On a clear day, you can see Adams, Baker, St Helens, Rainier (of course), and, sometimes, Hood. On a cloudy day, you feel as if you've just summited everest or something (except that it was lots easier). You know the feeling though, isolated on a summit, prepping to ski down... i love it.
The top of the King ties for first with sitting on the lower saddle of the Grand Teton at 8 am looking down on the valley. Sitting right below the last pitch to the summit of the Matterhorn; riding horses with my granddad in the fall in the Gros Ventre range in Jackson; looking out at the Alps from the Auguille du Midi; waterskiing with my family on Jackson Lake; watching sunset over the sea in Riomaggiorre Italy; watching sunset over the Tetons...ahhh, I have traveled so much and there is no place like home.
