It is... I'm trying to decide if I'd like it better if she was in focus though. But then you'd lose some of the intensity of Obama's expression, and that's what makes the photo interesting.
Screw the photo, read the speech.
He got my attention:
"I want to be straight with you. If you want conventional Washington thinking, I'm not your man. If you want rigid ideology, I'm not your man. If you think that fundamental change can wait, I'm definitely not your man. But if you want to bring this country together, if you want experience that's broader than just learning the ways of Washington, if you think that the global challenges we face are too urgent to wait, and if you think that America must offer the world a new and hopeful face, then I offer a different choice in this race and a different vision for our future."
Wow- I might start paying a lot more attention to what this guy has to say.
I don't like that pic. She should be blurry in the background, as if saying that she is fading out of the picture slowly.
edit- that line about learning the ways of Washington is pure gold. He must have a hell of a speach writer. Is there any hope he wrote this himself?
I don't think this picture will help Obama much. He comes across like a scheming asshole.
So many people from "outside the Beltway" think the President has the power to radically change the status quo. Imagine the chaos that would ensue would this actually be the case. There is something to be said for stability, but I will concede that unfortunately shit that NEEDS to be changed quickly is usually not due to political inertia.
