Save your 2 bucks.
I've seen all their movies and some are definately better than others, but this has got to be the slowest, dullest, illconceived, remake I've ever seen. Coen Brothers or not.
That is all.

Wow I love the Coen's and was really looking forward to this, bummer :(
I didn't think it was that bad. As far as remakes go, I thought they did a good job. It's not as funny as the original, but still pretty funny.
I really liked Interable Cruelty. I will wait until video for The LadyKillers though.Quote:

I have to admit I was skeptical about the Ladykillers premise. But I'll drop the $4 at Blockbuster anyway when it gets to DVD. Its got to better than 95% of the other shit out there even if its the worst movie they've ever made.
Ladykillers was fine. Not nearly as bad as intolerable crulety, which I thought plain sucked. Ladykillers has good music, some pretty neat shots, and some funny moments (also a couple of pretty unfunny gags, but oh-well). Hanks and whatever Wayans that is are pretty good.
So, it is the 2nd worst Coen brothers movie (yes, I've seent them all), but definitely not horrible. Overall pretty good.
See the original Ladykillers with Peter Sellers and Alec Guiness. Should be available in most good video stores, even on DVD.
Wait a second... is this "Intolerable Cruelty movie a Coen Brothers flick?
